iphone 3g or iTouch?

ok, so i am not much really updated with gear gadgets and stuff and is trying my best to catch up coz i badly need it for work.

i am deciding either to go for iPhone 3g or itouch 4th coz basically they can have mailboxes for my emails. that's it. and so far i am seing a lot of cheap 2nd hand units for those mentioned above. unfortunately my budget is low kasi i just transferred work kaya walang sweldo for almost a month so i need a 4-7k'ish phone (trying to replace my 4yr old n70 lol) with wifi with mailbox kaya i was thinking of iphone 3gen. unfortunately itouch 4thgen does not have a phone capability but has a mailbox and wifi kaso the reason why i am trying to go for iphone is that i just lost in the airport my brother's itouch kasi i have to many gadgets in hand (n70 phone for of course phone, my ipod nano for the music and my brother's itouch for wifi and mailbox).

so i basically have to replace that itouch and buy a gadget that can basically combine phone, music, apps(bonus nalang ito), mailbox and wifi. suggestions guys. please

If your main concern is about your emails, mag 3GS ka na lang bro. 3G is slow, iTouch naman e hindi phone. You can check online, 7-8k na iPhone 3GS. Hope it helps bro.

ahh at last a reply lol heheh thanks bro i was thinking of that too mejo tight kasi ang budget planning on getting a 4s pero di pa kasi ako nakaka experience ng iphone ng matagalan kaya iam trying to eye on iphone 3gs muna

Ok naman ang 3GS. And good thing din kasi pwede pa siya i-update nang iOS 5. Not unlike 3G na hanggang 4.2 lang.

Ok naman ang 3GS. And good thing din kasi pwede pa siya i-update nang iOS 5. Not unlike 3G na hanggang 4.2 lang.

Are you getting any error message sir upon updating? Kasi un 3GS ko before sucessful naman pag update ko sa iOS 5. I even had it jailbroken.

opppss speaking of which. may madali bang way para ma check kung na jailbroken nga ang isang iphone?

Kung jailbroken na, easy. Pero kung na-jailbroken na tas nirestore ulit, that im not sure. Pag jailbroken, meron syang Cydia na application. Pero for me, wala namang kaso e. I've had several iPhones/iPad na jailbroken lahat. Wala naman kaso

ah that's nice to hear. kasi we have owned a couple of touch and pads already pero di talaga kami ng JB kasi takot baka masira ung touch ng brother ko na 3g na nawala ko has never been JB'd kaya im trying to stick with that practice hehehe

minsan nangyari din sakin yan sa itouch ko naman dati pa nung itouch 2? pa lang haha,
ginawa ko gapang talaga kada bagong version e hanggang makarating sa 4.3 dati,
pero alam ko may short cut na dun para umangat agad ng diretcho sa gustong version,
try din mag reinstall and upgrade ng itunes, and mag dl na agad ng firmware sa felixbruns.de tapos shift
restore/update na lang hehe.

opppss speaking of which. may madali bang way para ma check kung na jailbroken nga ang isang iphone?

punta ka sa search ng iphone/itouch/ipad type mo cydia pag meron naka jailbreak yun, kahit naka hide
pa yung app na yun lalabas dun yun,
and wala namang kaso kung naka jailbreak basta lang maayos and hindi masyado tinadtad ng 3rd party
apps/upgrades nakakabagal din kasi pero kahit di rin naman naka jailbreak basta oa na sa dami ng apps
babagal at babagal din talaga e haha
goodluck na lang btw 3gs na lang kesa 3g hehe,
