Guys, what do you think about the Pearl Forum FZ series? Sulit ba? It's priced around 30k. Poplar yung shells na gamit for this kit. Ok ba yun?

And it comes with free Pearl cymbals. Crappy ba tunog nun? Or can we at least compare it with the Planet Z's?

yes and yes. crappy naman kasi ang planet z's e. dapat hindi factor ito sa pagbili mo ng kit kasi papalitan mo rin naman agad yun e.

Mga sir, may mga binebenta po ba na Pearl Forum FZs or mga Gretsch Catalina Maple/Ash kits sa raon? May idea ba kayo sa mga presyo at malaki ba matitipid ko 'pag dun? Thanks.

Nasa JB Music Park Square ako nung isang araw. Kaka-set-up lang nila nung bagong Pearl Reference drumkit nila. I'm not a fan of gold hardware pero maganda parin itong kit na ito. Astig pa yung design ng boom stands, ang dali mag adjust ng cymbal positions. (Sorry Jonathan, Sir Jerico at Bel parang Pearl endorser na ba ako? JB Music endorser naman din ako eh, haha). 24"-inch yung kick drum. Lupet din nung snare, 20-ply shell. Looks like its around 2 inches thick! Anyway, here are some pix for all you Pearl fans out there. Silipin niyo minsan sa JB Music Park Square.

Dont know much about the 'Reference' series but I do know each shell is made of a combination of different kinds of wood.

Meron din silang 'Masters' kit na ise-setup sa Park Square, abangan niyo nalang

natsbrats there are 4 models of vision series. VMX, VBX, VSX and VX. VMX is all maple and is lacquer finish. VBX is all birch also lacquer finish. VSX and VX are both wrap finish and shells are i think basswood or birch or combination of both. kung ako ang pipili sa 4 na to i'll choose VMX or VBX because of their shell compositions. i've read some reviews on the visions and they say it's good. i've never heard them in person but based on the reviews, friends who played on them and some members on pearldrummersforum.com, they are happy with their visions both VMX and VBX. if you're looking for good quality drums, VMX or VBX are your choices.

FYI, Vision Series replaced the Export Series (if i'm not mistaken). if you have the budget I suggest you go for Masters Custom MCX w/c replaced the Session Series. MCX consist of 6ply maple (higher quality than in VMX i guess) with better hardware pack than Visions. just don't know if it is locally available there in philippines. cheers!

recently, i got the new purple cam of my elims....maganda talaga...parang andun [parin yung sensitivity ng red cams plus the power of an Iron cobra...ganda...i'm planning to get the yellow soon, according to reviews, yun daw ang pinaka powerful sa lahat ng cams...

i'll try to update this para if ever oks, kuha na din kayo.

hehe... not a fan of glittering gold hoops either... perhaps it's supposed to match the price?! astig yung hardware na kasama nung reference kit, ganda! pero parang mas gusto ko bilhin sa panaginip yung masters kit.

Grabe 313k yung Pearl Reference na nakadisplay sa JB Park Square.

Innovative din ang Pearl by using different wood and number of plies per drum. I hope their marketing efforts work since it's really pricey.

Yup di ko rin type ang gold hoops.
