Hi! New Macbook user here. Bakit hindi ako makapag Wi-Fi? Nade-detect naman nya, but once I enter and password, it says:

The Wi-Fi network requires a WPA2 password

Ano yun?

you changed the settings under Security to WPA2 when you entered the password? this happened with my old Macbook and my friends wi-fi before.

Yup. I already changed it to WPA2 Personal. I can now use the wi-fi.

ok lang yan paulo, basta make sure you still use it in battery mode from time to time.. ako I use my MBP on battery mode til 40% tapos saksak ulit ang magsafe..

this will make sure na optimized yung performance ng battery by regularly "exercising" its chemical flow..

download mo "coconut battery" para ma monitor mo din ang health at charge cycles ng battery mo.. yung built in battery pack kasi ng MBP is built to retain 80% of its capacity after 300 charge cycles..

yung sakin under 80% nalang ang battery capacity pero tumagatal pa rin ng 4-5 hours.. (originally umaabot ng 7 hours)

I've been a Mac user for almost 20 years now, as long as I have been working in graphic design. I currently have an MBP 15" 2.0 i7 which now serves as my workstation and training gear.  I still have my trusty old 2007 Mac Mini (used to be my workhorse), which is now used mainly for web browsing by my immediate family.

Hassle. I was advised against getting a Lion right away and just wait for the 2nd patch at least. Did you right a complaint letter or something to Apple? As far as i know they take customer feedback very seriously.

I still haven't upgraded to Lion because of several incompatibilities with Adobe CS.  Since CS functionality is more important than Lion's bells and whistles, I'm holding any upgrades back.   There's nothing really wrong with Snow Leopard.

actually di pa released dude.. yung mga small programs like in beta versions like yung "Messages", I tried downloading and installing it on our iMac sa office pero im having a problem with multiple apple IDs kaya di ko pa masubukan.. the new messages app can send thru all apple devices using iMessage app then can also send messages to your YM and MSN Messenger lists..

It wont come in a USB Thumb Drive installer tho.. it will be restrictly for Appstore download..

yep, according to gizmodo eh mawawala na ang "Mac OS X" ang magiging "iOS" nalang lahat for Mac, iPhone, iPad.. iintegrate na ng Apple ang OS nila to "multi-platform" since mukhang magiging touchscreen na rin ang mga future iMacs and Apple Cinema Display.. so logical lang na integrate na nila ang iOS to run into the Macs.. so in irony parang ang nangyari eh naging baliktad ang OS X sa iOS kasi before ang iOS eh stripped down OS X specifically written to run apple mobile devices.. but since nag evolve na ang iOS into a powerful and flexible OS eh yung iOS naman ang magdadagdag to run the Macs..  :-D

kung ganun ang mangyayari well ok lang din ang yearly release.. pero sana wag naman masyadong mahal.. or libre nalang parang iOS heheheh

mismo! I think it will be fun for 3rd party developers to now start developing small applications for Mac iOS kasi its bigger with complete integration to all Apple devices with iCloud as its main server..

I never use this.

Neither did I. So I downgraded back to snow. Sayang lang e mas mabilis naman ung snow leopard. And while in Lion, I cannot remember any new feature that I use.

I think you can. Wala naman encryption yan e. What's good about Mac is based siya sa linux. Linux is an open source operating system. Perhaps that is also the reason why there is no serial number to input for authenticity for Mac. Although may mga binibentang retail CD for thousands of pesos which easily copied and distributed. Wala parin siyang serial number.

I suggest you just torrent the SL retail version. Di mo na kailangang mag burn ng CD. Pwede ka mag mount sa USB ng installer using Disk Utility tapos yun na ang gagamitin mong pang installer. It is very very very easy. This is works wonders kung naka Air ka since wala ung cd rom.
