i jsut got it...and from my initial listening...ayos itong album....tagalog songs of ely is truly well-written....

dianne's contribution maganda rin... pero yung mga kanta talaga ni ely eh maganda...disconnection notice din pala maganda....si ely din yun....

basta three best songs eh: MONOBLOC (buendia), TALON (yuzon) & SUMASABAY (SERGIO)

ok yung monoblock first heard it at hardrock cafe
its the first time they played the new songs
with the new drummer, wendell
im glad to met him that night also

back to the new album
it has same production level as BM
hindi tunog lata
its a team effort, a great buy

Visible na uli yung song writing genius ni Ely. Sa past albums kasi medyo nagpabigat sila ng tunog pero dito ay bumalik yung trademark sound ni Ely na nagpasikat sa Heads dati.Ayos!

One good record. Galing ng collaborations within the group. It doesn't sound like eraserheads and i dont even care if they sound the same pupil is a different group. Ang pinaka-importante they are here to play these songs for us. Ganda ng monobloc,animal lover

i realized something...when i was listening to this album, i forgot the eraserheads..i used to have the tendency to compare ely's works now with his eheads works....

mas maganda nga talaga ung wildlife kesa sa first album nila.

their musicianship is tighter, the songwriting better and to the point na sila, walang artsy fartsy :) lahat ng songs nila maganda, i mean it. si ely at yan, gumaling mag-gitara, plus kasama si jerome velasco as their additional guitarist, mas umastig yung album. dok and wendell are already skilled with their respective instruments so wala na akong ida-dagdag sa kanila :) compare ely's guitar playing from eheads to pupil and you'll see BIG difference. hindi na simpleng basic chords yan. same thing with yan yuzon.

my picks are matador, monobloc and sala. depende sa mood really. pag gusto ko ng rock and roll: here i go again at animal lover.

mas ok tong wildlife in a way na iba ung sound niya sa beautiful machines..It would be incorrect to say na hindi maganda un unang album kumbaga mas nag-improve un sound nila dito sa wildlife

mas gumaling sila at may sense of direction na sila. sabi ni yael yuzon (spongecola, kid brother ni yan), pinaghandaan daw ng pupil maiigi yung wildlife and that was in 3 freakin' weeks of recording.

the new album is just awesome. monobloc is arguably the best pupil song written thus far, so it really deserves the airplay it's been getting.  :mrgreen:
