-
plus yung mga artist model matinde and the artist itself, STEVE LUKATHER( TOTO) etc.. :-D
-
made in the USA ... pero dito sa pinas, ang taas ng markup, parang boutique price range na sya
-
Hindi siya mahal. Poor lang talaga tayo.
-
Sobrang taas ang mark up... Kahit sale mataas pa rin... Dito nga sa tom lee 133,000 yun STEVE LUKATHER BFR...
-

only a rich noob would spend $5K or 210K php on a musicman guitar considering the wealth of options available.

Korak..
). not trying to bash them or anything, parang 1000000000% kasi yung markup.

-
-
The thread title is incomplete. Dapat may "sa JB Music" sa dulo. Haha.

good to know na makakausap pa sila. :) naalala ko sa mesa boogie thread ata yun, when JB started selling mesas nagulat lahat sa prices tapos may nag-compute compute pa na kahit may tax, shipping and other fees mataas parin ang markup nila. either way, i can't afford mesa's, high end music men and PRS'
-

Case to case basis in my opinion, I perused a Mark V from them a year ago and the best they could give me was slashing a couple few hundred dollars off. At the very least if you buy it from them you get a warranty and its rated at 220V already.
-
Anyone who can afford that guitar can afford to travel like hk and buy from shops there.
JB: never fails to amaze.

^MISMO!
Learned about JB prices din dahil sa PM...well I think, its about shipping taxes, and other expenses sa pag dala ng JB dito..anyway nowadays sobrang dami ng options...kaya ok lang...
pero super mahal nga talaga sila lalo pedals...mga MXR..etc..kaya avoided them since I learned hwo they priced their wares....kahit nung 90's nakarami kami ng bili sa kanila..haha

Same experience.

Don't get me wrong ha. I'm not from JB.
With the case of Mesa, panalo talaga ang deal with JB. 220v with warranty.

When talking about local prices on music instruments, most people seems to forget that the Philippines has a 35% customs duty on imports of everything music instruments. If you add other standard duties and taxes you get to about 60% on top of the import price.

Does anyone here notice that JB Music's Dunlop DC Brick is too Overpriced? 10k php? I got my dc brick @musiciansfriend for almost 5k php brand new. The thread title should entitled 'The JB Music' thread, para open sa lahat hehe

Conversely, I could say bakit cheap ang budget mo... Heh heh. But seriously maganda workmanship ng Music Man if I could find one that has hiyaw. Still searching though. I would still say 95% of Musicman Guitars just don't meet my requirement in terms of hiyaw. Just tested a JP6 sa JB Megamall. Ang ganda pero patay ang tunog.
With regards to pricing, we all know the FCKED UP pricing policy of JB Music. But to truly benchmark the correct street price in the U.S., always check the themusiczoo.com. They have an extensive selection and are priced fairly AND most importantly, they will honestly tell you if a specific guitar is NOT responsive if you ask. But the most important thing I like about the music zoo is wala silang staff na Pinoy na bolero.

and also the peso to dollar conversion when they import items. most people do not know that you will have to pay more to buy US currency
1 USD -> 41 PHP
43 PHP -> 1 USD

Let me correct you there, duty on electric guitars is 10% (AHTN Code 9202.90.00). VAT is 12%. Whatever is charged to the importer in terms of VAT is deductible from their OUTPUT VAT. So it is NOT 35%. Other standard duties are documentary stamps and processing which is less than 1%. Please PHILMUSIC check your facts before you post.

Viking daw eh
