DRUMMING ROUTINES/ PRACTICE EXERCISES
« Reply #32 on: December 05, 2006, 09:33:31 PM »
Guys maraming drummer esp mga newbie ang hirap sa practice routine causing alot of us to be stuck sa level natin.

mga senor ano ba kylangan unahin, isunod, at isama sa routine natin? share naman jan.

let me start po..
practice hours is 1 to 2hrs per day 5x a week

a. 15 mins rudiments(single strokes, doubles, diddles(ksma din accenting notes))
b. 15 mins review ng lessons ko from my drum teacher (execises, mga kinokorek na bad habits,    rudiments application, notation prev song we discuss)
c. 30 mins study a song that will be played sa church namen. these includes mapping it(notation and ear training) and play along with it(time). usually ung song na ung ginagawa kong metronome(you will end up playing that song anyways right?)
d. 10-15mins - anything goes.

before i felt the frustration kase ang dami mong pinapraktice and sometimes you are doing the same things all over again kaya mabagal ang develop. thats why importante to have a balace routine for you to identify yung gusto mo at kylangan mong matutuhan. ika nga eh "there are so much to learn but no more time". kaya you have to identify yung kylangan mo ang start focusing in it.

mga bro share naman nating ang ating mga practice routine. list din mga important area of drumming that is a must in a practice routine.

salamat at tulungan tyo!!! :-) JF

korek, fastest way to learn drums is to start it at slow tempos! =)

hirap e. dati kahit rudiments nakakapractice ako sa sasakyan pag traffic. ngayon commute lang ako at ang bilis pa ng byahe so pati yung rudiments nawawala na rin

mag gitara na lang kaya ako?  :-o
