What are your thoughts about the Old Guard vs the Tonerider Pure Vintage?

Pareho silang mid scooped, pero mas less bass pa yung Old Guard compared sa Pure Vintage (from what I recall). Kaya andun rin yung biting quack sound, it does help na naka stainless steel saddles kasi mejo dagdag brightness pa. Pero take it with a grain of salt, when I look for strat pickups, I usually gravitate towards the mid-scooped bright sound, not the Texas hot and overwound or yung mga not-so-bright pickups.

The Old Guard set reminds me of the Lollar Blackface, pero mas refined pa yung tunog ng Lollar. For the price and if funds are in question, I wouldn't think twice on the Old Guard.

when I look for strat pickups, I usually gravitate towards the mid-scooped bright sound, not the Texas hot and overwound or yung mga not-so-bright pickups.

same thoughts chino! gustong gusto ko yung midscooped glassy voiced strat SC hahahaha if there is a humbuggy na capable of splitting coils na ganun ang end result, the search for the versatile guitar is over hahaha

I (finally) just got myself a Player Series MIM SSS Strat and is planning to convert it to HSS. Being my first Fender strat I was hoping to install an authentic white Fender HSS pickguard and eventually a trembucker but having a hard time looking for them. Will highly appreciate any help i can get.

I think epektos.com sells original fender pickguards.
I suggest trying it out on cheap replacements muna para di ka masyado masasaktan kung di mo magustuhan yung result ng project mo

or waste a lil bit more time with SSS config baka ma gustuhan mo din
tho personal preference na yan, suhestyon lang nman
check classifieds din alam ko meron seller dun ng authentic fender parts

Sure na ako dito sa HSS config..in fact, my non-Fender strat is actually setup HSS..kung walang authentic pickguard then i'll guess i'll have to settle with the cheap one for now Just have to look for the trembucker as well..

For this particular guitar it is really HSS..the SSS is for the ANOTHER guitar i'm planning to own pero i guess i'll have to settle for SSS for now:)
