kelan ka bibili nun SC594? you'll love the pattern vintage asymmetrical necks.Meatier yun bass (upper) side, pero mas manipis un lower side without sacrificing the 50's neck feel.

This was supposed to be a McCarty 58 eriza verde sa kabilang ads pero naunahan ako. Napaganda na lang since i wanted this color and took 5 days shipping.

I'll be going to the US by april. Hopefully, makapaguwi. Kamusta ang 58/15lt? Closer to that PAF sound na?

Ayos yan, makakapamili ka mismo ng guitar. By that time marami na rin production. Probably on order pa mga yan ngayon with limited stocks. Etong MC594 naswerterhan ko lang through reverb. Nag inquire ako sa mga music shops and majority of them gave me a 3 months wait for this color. Except for guitar centre, zzsounds and those big music outlets na ayaw naman mag underdeclare ng value for tax purposes. Mine slipped through customs like a ghost, declared at $200 value. Risky pero worth it naman. :-D

Which color are you gunning for?

Super hype yun 58/15 and mas super hype etong 58/15LT for a PAF sound, and I must say PRSh delivered, hands down a good PAF sounding pickups. The clarity on notes is there, walang muddiness even on high gain settings. It can chug din and sounds loud unplugged.

Eyeing a Tobacco Mccarty. hehe. Mukhang sulit for a les paul fan yang SC549 talaga.

Lots of cool new drool-worthy PRS guitars.

I'm still stuck with my trusty old one.. Hehe. Swapped out the Motocity Angel Dust pickups (fantastic HBs! longest that stayed in this guitar) for a set of Seymour Duncan P-Rails. Having other guitars which cater to a particular sound, I thought it's time to turn my old PRS into a "jack of all trades" kind of guitar.

Added a mini 3-way toggle switch for rail single coil - humbucker - p90 switching.

Got this new PRS Purple Charcoal. It's more like a Holcomb burst. I'll use this for my standard tuning.

Damn, is it a 10 or artist top?

The Holcomb Burst must've been a proprietary color, so maybe, just maybe, PRSh thought renaming it to Purple Charcoal will leave him scot-free. And yes, I just made that up lol! Awesome looking guitar, man, congrats!

I was gassing for a PRS baritone and was considering a Holcomb USA, but it's limited production made me check the SE version. Tried a 2017 SE and was completely blown. not to mention the headstock logo is surreal! But I'm not happy about the price though, just a few bucks and can get me a decent core model na.

Keep those black PRSi cumin'!

Damn that's gorgeous! Congrats. #PRSGOW

Brian is a stand up guy, talked to him several times on ordering a 594, but impatience got the best of me and settled for one in Reverb.

Good thing that's an ebony board. The new CITES rule has been up and about. I know someone who contacted another big guitar shop but was advised of temporary freezing international shipping for rosewood board guitars, they may yet sort a workaround.

He's got the sickest PRS inventory.

I read its only if you are inporting at more than 22lbs of rosewood but its still not clear. Good thing I'm not into rosewoods. I don't like the feel of it.  :)

Sorry I've been out of the loop for quite a while. I don't see any new PRS guitars in the JB branches I've been to. If meron man, puro old stock.

Does JB still distribute PRS? Looking to get me that sweet sweet PRS SE Mark Holcomb.

I never thought I would find a great sounding PRS.  It took me 30 years to find one...  In my experience, over 95% of PRS guitars just sound dead.  I almost gave up until I was lucky to get this in Japan:

Its a 1993 PRS Custom 24 with Ten Top.

Its got the old locking tuners...

Confirmed by PRS that it was one of the last to receive a Brazilian Rosewood Fingerboard (you don't get to see that nowadays very often)

Close up of the Birds ... I guess prior to all the CNC crap today

Moodys Strap to go with it....

The old PRS neck taper and color.  By the way, this color combination is what made PRS famous -- yellow on red

That neck joint.  You will NOT see that anymore today.  And I will tell you that this is the most comfortable neck joint made by PRS.  All that stability [gooey brown stuff] to justify their new neck is just bull.

Original one piece MANNMADE bridge.  You also won't see that today anymore.

Observe the curvature of the horns compared to today's which are thicker and less sexy.

Look at the subtlety of the depressions on the top for the knobs.

Old HFS pickups...  They sound killer on this guitar.  I decided not to touch them anymore and break the habit of changing stock pickups.

Gorgeous Ten Top ... just like they used to unlike a lot of modern PRS that don't have as much crossing figure.

Another angle of the Ten Top with a different action

Yet another angle of the top with different action.  From this shot, observe the 3D ridge like figure of the top.

This guitar is even prettier in person and DEFINES THE UNIQUE SOUND OF PRS

By the way, just so nobody get the wrong idea, this specific beast of a PRS can do Santana right off the bat specially with the toggle switch engaged.  But really, this guitar does its thing best with hard rock and metal.

Hard to believe but when paired with my higher gain heads; this guitar in its current STOCK form will take down any ESP or IBANEZ and eat them alive.
