it's a bit eerie. i just heard francis brew yesterday, explaining the absence of howling dave's show, that he was at the hospital and asked for prayers so he could return the following week. never thought it was to be fatal.

nagpunta pa siya sa town fiesta sa amin sa san ildefonso, bulacan last year and this year lang together with bob magoo. gustong gusto nila yung papaitang kambing na niluto with usbong ng sampalok. medyo bothered nga ako sa harapan namin kasi may gamit na siyang tungkod dahil hirap na maglakad pero ang lakas pa ding uminom ng alak. one of my old friends was able to ask him to sign his jingle magazine kung saan may article about howlin dave. rest in peace, howlin dave.

condolences to delilah, adam and the rest of the david family...

never knew him nor delilah personally, but i'd see them every once in a while at RJ in robinsons galleria, pag sinasamahan ko yung mga katropa ko. truly, the man was an icon, a great DJ (actually, favorite namin siya ni erpats nung nakikinig pa kami sa RJ 100.3), and will truly be missed...

body is lying in state at Cinco Estrella along Quirino Highway, Q.C.

Thanks to Baba Balce ("November") for dropping by with the news. Heard about it myself through a text from Walter Wirth.

I was honored to have sat in with The Rock of Manila band in one gig. I didn't quite get it at the time, but we had HowlingDave, Little Rock, The Mole, Madman, Stoney Burke, Bob Magoo attempting to play instruments

I think the real musicians there were Dave and Little Rock. Howlin Dave had quite the Neil Young impression I recall.

Jingle Magazine covered the gig and referred to me as Jim Anson.
