im not a customer, but i did go to their website to check it out.  i must say....their plan sucks!!  they say that you can get up to 1Mbps on their plan with a 6GB threshold.  first of all....in today's high speed standards, 1Mbps speed is like dial up.  for supposedly a 4G connection?...they are limiting your connection speed?  and add to that, you can only possibly get up to 1Mbps each month if you stay under their 6GB threshold.  if you go over that, they bring you down to 512Kbps for the remainder of the billing cycle.  what you have to realize here is that you don't necessarily will get 1Mbps connection.  the speeds can "get up to" that.  most likely your connection will always be at the 512Kbps anyways.  this is a crappy plan for a supposedly a 4G provider.

with that being said...i'm interested in knowing how good the service is...and kung available na sa marikina.

Share ko lang to dati kasi kami 4G customer.. 1k for 1Mbps for 1 month. Pero nauubos xa lalo na kapag mahilig ka magdownload, mag stream ng videos sa youtube saka favorite anime.. Tapos kung naubos na kagad yun ng wala pang 1 month xmpre babagal, ngayon kelangan daw bumili ng 1 gig ata yun pangrefill dun sa naubos for 200 php o san ka pa? Parang Slurpy lang pagnaubos refill lang.. Gusto na namin xa ipadisconnect, sabi pa naman ng customer representative nila, kelangan daw namin magbayad ng monthly payment namin x 11.. so mga 11,000 php yun Putris talaga kaya hinayaan na namin..

I use wi-tribe.  ok naman usage. bagay hindi ako heavy downloader kaya ok lang sa akin....

sabi ng isa kong teacher sa review center eh hindi daw totoo yang 4G na yan... kasi wala pang 4G dito satin... yang Wi-Tribe eh Wi-Max (pre-4G) lang din yan... hindi sa bandwith ang mataas jan kundi ung radius ng connectin mo... ung lawak ng may connection ka... may hierarchy kasi yang mga G's eh... 1G, 2G, 3G, 3.5G ts 4G... nalimutan ko na ung mga specific bandwiths ng bawat G's kasi mejo bulakbol din ako sa review... haha! btw, BSECE po ako... hehe... itama nyo na lang po ako kung mali ako... makakatulong din to sa review ko! hehe

Sa alam ko 4g na talaga yung wimax.  and although meron na wimax ,  gamit pa din nila is LTE(long term evolution) technology which is as you say pre-4G.
(b.s. management graduate lang ako , but I have bin in the IT field for more than 10 years  ) I'm not telling you to believe me baka bumagsak ka sa review mo hehehehehe... pero barkada ko yung nagsetup ng infrastructure nila(its not what you know,  its who you know ).  at least I know i have a good source for this topic.

it still boils down to preference,  like I said in my case,  I'm not a heavy downloader,  I use internet connection to remotely connect to the office so i can work in the comforts of my own home. Now for me the advantage of having 4G connection, -- i can work virtually anywhere in Metro manila as long as there is a  wi-tribe signal available.

Why not 3g?  simply because walang masagap na sun 3G sa area namin. smartbro - bagal ,  globe - mahal  

Globe on the other hand offers 4g but are strict in the sense na kung san yung registered address mo dun ka lang pwede mag connect. if it were not for that certain policy I would have gone with Globe. I find it useless na na gumagamit ka ng 4G technology tapos limitado ka lang sa bahay mo. Sila lang ang makikinabang kasi wala na silang cost para maglatag ng cable para makapagbigay ng internet service.

of course there are some disadvantages to as compared to using dsl, but then tingin ko I can live with it.

Hindi 4G ang Wi-tribe.  Wi-tribe uses 3.2 IEEE 802.16e
4G uses IEEE 802.16m
