What Brand of Cajon do you use?

I'm not a drummer/cajonista. I'm planning to buy one for jamming purposes. What brand would you recommend? Ok ba yung Maestro sa JB?

to be honest i make my own cajon kung me karpintero kang kilala gumawa ka na rin you can reaserch the dimensions of the box dito sa net  at kung ano gusto mo style para sa strings (if you wants strings for it)  yun din ang ginagamit ko sa mga gigs ko .... pero bumili rin ako ng ready made na kahon  aa meinl medyo disapointed pa anga ako dahil mahal lang cya ... at ok maganda nga yung kahoy rubber wood daw eh ... pero sa sound .... dipende talaga sa pumipihit minsan maganda pa yung gawa ko lang na kahon eh  hahaha ..... nwei if you really like to buy punta ka sa jb meron sila for sale dun for 4.5k yun lang ang kanon nilang maganda to be honest wag mo kukunin yung may libreng case .... alanganin .......

my friend has one of the prototypes of the cajon that was given by dingdong dantes.. nung binuksan ko kasi gusto kong butingtingin, nakalagay dun, "to egay, ....... from (whoever invented cajon nakalimutan ko na pangalan)" .. ayun, bumili ako ng cajon sa kanya, 3 sides pwede gamitin.. ok ung sound mahirap laang patunugin ung sa snare strings.. galing! ibebenta dapat ng bro ko sabi ko ayaw ko hehe.. :-D

hi there,

btw, i used 4 acoustic strings na naaadjust pero not the snare wire. DIY yun cajon ko.

tip naman po.

thanks

tingin ko u should use snare strings talaga, ung cajon ko, one side= snare strings, the other=guitar string, the other=no strings (sounds a lil bit like a bonggo), and the other= sound hole.. mas malakas ung sound na napproduce ng snare strings.. hnd ako drummer, kapatid ko un so i dunno, nakakakita kasi ako ng cajon na malakas naman maski guitar strings gamit eh..
