i blame it on the crabs. because we are crabs. little brown crabs.
k-pop and justin bieber is an evidence that we dont love ourselves.
why not just give positive feedback? reach out to the band and ask them to create better music.
fail yun diba?

it's a sad fact that most of our "original compositions" suck.

i have listened to countless radio programs over the years where they featured "originals" and "homegrown talent" and yep, the songs are so bad or devoid of hook you wonder why they devote an hour or two to them.

the only time i noticed a band's songs was like 2001 and there was this group called "spongecola" playing college alternative sounding stuff... and well, i guess everyone knows them now.

and oh, PGT Finalists Skeights also have some interesting songs. i think X2M (yes, its matanglawin's band) has good pop stuff that i can dig too.

majority of the originals though, are just meh. give me MYMP over them.

...MYMP!

I know covers and remakes have long been born in the local music scene..side A and other bands..they make great covers and promote em as a carrier single. well at least, 10% or less of the time.  They launched onto the scene with original songs like hold on...etc.

MYMP, is the most popular, biggest selling duo/band to promote other artists songs...mostly from foreign acts.

a lot have followed their footsteps..Bamboo, Spongecola, Martin Nievera, Christian Bautista....

whatever happened to Pinoy creativity? and friggin' hard work??
so true. Haaay.

Yosha pa din ako.

While driving, wife turned on the radio, anne curtis's song was played.

I had to endure listening to it.
Hindi ba bad word ang putris?

Putris talaga. Pero original niya yata yung kanta.

Dahil ba si anne curtis siya kaya they let her get away with it.

:-P blame game my @$$!!!
