"Holes for sustain"? I thought holes shortened sustain. Interesting. :)

agree, holy china is interesting!
however, i'm still out of budget to purchase this one.. so, im planning my old-worn-out zildjian oriental china to be somewhat like the holy china.. coz luckily the crack of my china is in the playing area.. i'll bring it to the shop tomorrow..  :-D
my china was just hung in the wall because it has robert dela cruz's signature.. hehe

Not really the most expensive bro. It depends on the Particular model na hinahanap mo, may mga pantapat din kasi yung ibang cymbal company sa mga kalaban nilang company kaya minsan di nagkakalayo yung mga price range nila depende sa model na gusto mo. =)

if i were you, id rather buy 2nd hand SABIAN cast cymbals AA, AAX, HH, HHX, Vault, Paragon. Durable and better sounding. try to visit sabian.com.(unless you really are after the sound of XS20s and B8 Pros) i use to have a B8 Pro performance set then i shifted to AAXs, HHXs after sometime.
a little review on the B8 Pro cymbals that i use to have:
medium hats 14" = CLOSED: it had the standard high crisp sound but i find the sound too thin. (i wanted a thicker "chick" and darker sound).
SLIGHTLY OPENED: too ringy for me. i didn't find the "hiss" sound projecting enough. (maybe this was due to the material that was used - too much brass i think)
SQUELCHING & OPEN: the squelch sound was moderately appealing but the "ringy" overtone is still there.
medium crash 16" = again, it lacked projection and i didn't like the "high ringy" sound in it.
Medium ride 20" = this is a modest ride cymbal. all the areas respond well and the "ringy" sound in its material is quite controlled when played with the tip. not so pingy and the bell sound is not too loud and thick. wash riding this cymbal will let out the "ringy" sound in its material. if you are looking for a darker and warmer cymbal, you might not like this.
Verdict: there is a funny ring sound in the B8 Pro that i didn't like.(i really don't know if it has something to do with the B8 Bronze)

if i were to choose between ZBTs and B8 Pro, i'd still choose B8 Pros
and one thing, stay away from B8, B8 Pro china cymbals, the funny "ringy" sound is just too dominant in those cymbals. it sounds kinda annoying. hehe!

(it is your ears that hear your cymbal so its best to check out these cymbals personally. goodluck in finding your sound!)

anong sound ba habol mo? kung bright, go with the AA, kung dark go with the HHX. If I were you, I'd go with the HHX, pasok sa setup mo bro.
