e ikaw yumaman ka ba sa hiyaw..mayaman ka oo..nadagdagan ba kaban mo sa hiyaw na yan?

walang masama sa pagpuna ng mga branded na gitara na walang hiyaw na di mo makita sa soloist jackson mo o ano yung isang gitara mo na gawa ng hudyo (?) opinion mo yan...pero wag naman OA sa hiyaw hiyaw na yan... para kang si sam milby pogi na nga nagpapakyut pa

Personally I am curious about "hiyaw" gusto ko din masubukan para malaman ko kung madistinguish ba ng mga tenga ko ang "hiyaw" 

And ang take ko lang sa side ni FM55 ay parang ganito lang. "If you found the cure for cancer wouldn't you tell (or to some extent "push") it to everyone?"

But thats just me. I am not taking sides, just trying to understand both perspectives.

Ang punto ko ay hindi related ang hiyaw sa pagyayaman o pagiging pobre.  Kaya medyo retarded ang pag iisip mo tungkol sa pag associate ng dalawa.

I have twenty guitars na may  hiyaw at hindi lang jackson at gil yaron ko ang may hiyaw.  Lahat USA made with the exception of the Gil Yaron.  Fender, PRS, Baker, BC Rich, Suhr, Gibson -- ang pinaka bago mga Music man.  Hindi ko lang opinion ito.

I can not say anything until I try them.  Though as a small guitar maker, I do NOT think they will be able to source the best sounding wood available unless they built up their stash since the 60s.  Siguro, makaka suwerte sila but only a few slabs here and there.

But you never know:)

I hope you can try them. I just want to know why they are regarded as one of the sought afters in terms of metal and pther heavy music.

natry ko yung ganyan ni Maxi c/o Markcasq. swabe guitar. very nice sounding, di ko lang type the pickup rings and bobbins used (transparent), mejo nagmukhang cheap. but definitely, the guitar sings.

would use that cash to get a Suhr though hahaha

correct. nung nalaman ko presyo, ynu din nasa isip ko hahaha "pang PRS/Suhr na to ah?"

but the neck and the fretwork is def topnotch, tho. hahaha

On that note, does hiyaw even matter for aggressive, riff-based, heavily downtuned styles like djent? From what I know, the hiyaw phenomenon only seems to be present when sustaining a note - say, when bending a string. Food for thought.

But as I had posted on other threads, hiyaw is an indicator of other desire -able characteristics in a guitar.  Guitar with hiyaw sound MORE aggressive and are more HEAVY sounding due to their abundant overtones and sound KABIT ang mga nota for heavy riffing.

I was thinner then.  I have to agree that Jon's copy was better sounding than a lot of PRSes but will be crushed by my own PRS.

well yea. i was here when it was first discussed. i even saw the video of FM55 explaining it. i actually liked him for being enthusiastic in trying to get everyone to understand what hiyaw is.
