+100. if I have the cash to burn then I would definitely buy an alienware since I like lots of games. this laptop is specifically designed for gamers. too bad wala pa yan dito sa pinas (for now at least).

yup, pati yung mga ideapad at value laptops ng lenovo may one key backup recovery, kahit maformat ng hindi sinsasadya yung lsptop mo may key lang na pipindutin mo, may rerecover lahat ng files mo na naka backup

I'm using these buddies for work for 8 hours:
Dell = Good. I'm using Dell Studio 15 for over 3 years now, no issues :-) Compaq = The bad. CQ40 LCD problem occurred after 4 months kong nabili, buy at your own risk na ang status dahil sa dami ng reklamo :-( Napalitan ko na ang lcd niya. Lenovo S10-3 = Simple design and easy to use. The only issue is disabled wifi in Ubuntu os but it works fine in Win7 Toshiba Satellite = Still works fine after 4 years although wala na siyang battery.
Sa tingin niyo abusado ko sa kanila but they have to work as well para sa trabaho namin :-)

Hindi lahat ng mataas na graphics controller kayang mag run ng high end games AND graphics intensive apps at full settings; gaming cards render graphics by boxes, ISV certified cards render graphics by lines (correct me if I'm wrong). So babagsak parin sa kung anung gamit ng laptop.
And yes, kelangan mo mag benta ng kidney or something for an Alienware :-D

Good performer toh.. Di siya madaling uminit except pag games siyempre. Pero manageable ung heat di mo parin mra2mdaman masyado.
Kadalasan wlang patayan for downloads hehe... 4 days max ata.
Using it for CAD, MS office, some Adobe and gaming! :razz:

Alienware of course, though wala na market sa Philippines (black market meron) you have to get it sa Hong Kong or other SE countries.
And this one, since solid PC gamer ako, they may be new to this pero damn, the Razer Switchblade...

Our company recommends only IBM ThinkPads. Even after it has been acquired by Lenovo. I have used IBM ThinkPad before, as issued by my previous employer, coz it was recommended by our supplier. And got the chance to own a few, personally. Along with a few company issued ThinkPads.
Also from my previous company, after my 1st issued ThinkPad, the replacement was an HP, but it had terrible overheating issues. But what can I say, it was from my company.
So, for the count, I have used... - IBM ThinkPad R30 - HP Compaq nx6120 - Lenovo Y300 (non-thinkpad) - IBM ThinkPad T43 - Lenovo ThinkPad R400 (personal & still running strong) - Lenovo ThinkPad T400 (work)
For work, its the ThinkPad for me... Its recommended & tested throughout my career, of travelling from office to site and home, along with all the handling that it has taken up.
For personal use, I would probably upgrade to Vaio S... Only until my R400 can last. Then, a new model & brand might come into mind.
Also, its just my personal preference. Yours could be something else.

Apple.. since they also design their own hardware and write the software to go along with it.. or the other way around.. write a software to be optimized on a dedicated hardware. :wink:

that is the reason kung bakit yung iPad 1 kahit na 1GHZ atom processor lang at shared pa yun as system RAM eh mas mabilis ang response kesa sa pinaka maxed out na netbook with the same 1GHZ atom processor tapos may dedicated 1GB SD RAM pa.. pero mas mabilis pa rin ang iPad sa benchmarking..
same with laptops.. hindi naman kasi sinulat ng microsoft ang windows to run a specific hardware to be "optimized" sinulat ng microsoft ang windows to run into any machine with NTFS file system.. kahit na ano pa yung specs nya..
that is the reason kung bakit kailangan ng isang windows laptop ng "drivers" para makilala ng windows yung ibat ibang hardware features ng isang brand ng laptop.. at kung hindi compatible hindi na nagiging optimize and performance kasi "nalimit" na ng software limitations yung hardware..
well just my opinion.. so I vote Apple

Base sa experience ko bro, asus kung average laptop lang naman hanap mo. Never ako nagka problem sa mga asus laptops. Swerte lang din siguro. Unlike HP, acer, lenovo and even vaio, nagkaroon ako ng problem. Pinaka worst yung lenovo sa akin. Again, based on my experience. :)

imho ang hirap ng hanapin ng matibay na laptop ngaun lalo na halos lahat ay gawa ng china...i had a dell before it was made in poland untill now gumagana pa rin and fujitsu seimens na made in germany yun nga lang di kagandahan ang looks pero sa tibay at performance panalo ka..i saw alienware laptop being sold here in qatar but it is also made in china :) anyway nasa pag gamit lang din yan at pag alaga ng laptop mo at kung minsan ay malas talaga na hindi matibay ang pagkagawa kaya madaling masira :)

Well in terms of value per horse power (nothing else) is MSI G-Series...
I have the GX660 i5 which i bought 2 years ago and all heavy graphic games works so smooth all other cpu and graphic intensive software works sooooo fast! until now the 2012 games no problem at highest resolution maximum settings. Dedicated video card ATI RADEON 5870 GDDR5 1gb!!! :wave:
but the quality of the LCD seems low. (black is medyo grey) but 2 years na to and still can kick high end laptop butt nowadays. :-D
MSI Gaming series ito, not the other regular MSI....
got this for 50k top of the line 2 years ago... still fast till now... i guess tatagal pa ng 2years to kayanin latest games. Upgraded the HDD to SSD!!! AND OOOOOOOHHHHHHLALA!!!!! Power! :lol:
