If you're really insistent on how we moderate Guitar Central, I'll indulge you this one time. Here's how I make a judgment call:
1. Relevance to the forum self-explanatory. I've already explained this one in a previous post. Irrelevant threads are transferred to their respective proper forums.
2. Continuity "happy birthday ______", "______ EB Jam pictures" or "______'s new baby" posts are allowed in Guitar Central because (1) it normally runs for only a few days, then people stop posting altogether; and (2) those threads promote camaraderie between the members. The I'm Bored thread was also a candidate for moving, but the questions there are guitar and GAS day-related. And besides, that thread has already died a natural death.
3. Offensive content threads that contain explicit offensive content that good relations between members are locked or deleted outright.
4. Redundancy self-explanatory
5. Date of Posting I don't tamper with old threads, especially the ones that have been around before I became markflo's co-mod in GC. Those threads are relics; they're from GC's wild west era and also serve as examples of the types of threads that must not be posted on the forum again. I still lock some threads instead of deleteng them to leave examples of unacceptable threads.
I believe that I have already clarified our position. Considering how even the thread starter looks at the Mini Blog (http://talk.philmusic.com/index.php?topic=271538.msg3708673#msg3708673) and how many pages it took (more than 200 pages in less than 4 months) before I decided to move it to AGT, can you still say that we are biased and unfair?
This is the last time that I'll be commenting on this issue. The Mini Blog forum seems to be back to normal (including the "Should we post Chuckie Garcia's naked photo on Facebook?" poll), so you guys can carry on with your conversations over there.
Walang samaan ng loob, guys. Just being fair and square. Please go easy on toybitz as well. He's really a good guy and he's just overzealous at times.

The GCMB thread was actually Lakan's idea. He asked me to start the thread because there was this inside joke among our friends that I am Philmusic's OT King. Of course, that's not true, but that's another story.
At first, that was the idea. "AGT in GC". But within a couple of weeks, it became more than that. The GCMB thread turned into a place where guitar enthusiasts hangout and tell stories about gear, playing style, hot chicks, family, and life experiences. We met lots of new friends because of that thread. It became a part of our daily routine.
Regarding relevance to the forum:
I don't think that GCMB is completely irrelevant. Yes, we talk about tons of stuff but we always go back to talking about our gear. We were also able to set tone parties, jams and simple inumans in that thread, which I think is also relevant to the forum because these activities promote camaraderie among members.
When the mods allowed the thread to continue for more than a month, I assumed that it was okay for the thread to go on forever. Until one day, the thread was moved.
Sorry guys, I have to move this thread. Too many complaints about this already.
May we know what the complaints were?
And one more thing, I saw that the Bass Place Mini Blog was locked already. I'm sure that was harder for the BPMB people to accept because that thread has been there for like 6 years already. I kinda felt like the BPMB thread got locked because of what happened to the GCMB thread. If we did not say anything about the mods allowing BPMB in BP while GCMB was moved to AGT, would the mods lock that thread?
Well, I guess that's it. Yes, I kinda feel bad because GCMB was moved to AGT but you guys (mods) should do what you gotta do. I'll get over it soon.
Thanks and have a great night, Ian.
