Jaguar/Jazzmaster/Mustang/Jagstang/offset waist guitar thread!

what brand and type of hard case or gig bag do you use for your offset? particularly a Jaguar or Jazzmaster.

I have a gig bag made by bumbum and one by Butch Dormitorio. They're almost the similar in design but there's something more special about the one made by Butch Dormitorio, craftmaship and material wise. Both work well for my Jazzmaster but I would recommend go for Mang Butch.

Lenar gigbags by bumbum here would be a nice option since walang porma yung gigbags niya kasya kahit anong shape..I think sa sample photos niya he used an olympic white jaguar..hehe

Saw them last Feb at the Laneway Festival and they did use that blue Jag. Anthony was also using a sunburst CP JM.

Was there too! Actually, most of the other bands at the Laneway festival were also using offsets as well! If I find my photos I'll post some pics here.

Interestingly enough, my Mustang was originally sold with a gig bag, but my dad and I managed to talk the Guitar Center attendant to trade it up to a slightly used Fender hard case (since I had to fly it out of town).  It was a standard and that managed to fit the guitar.  Not sure if the same is true for your Jazzmasters or your Jaguars though.

JMs are considerably bigger. :s I used to have a Mosrite that was picky with gig bags on a related note.

nice neck and body but the proportion of the guard & upper body is leaning towards the telemaster territory

On my visit to the local guitar store yesterday, they had on display the guitar that was used to lay down the tracks for the theme to Hawaii Five-O (I'm thinking this would be the original one, not the revived series).

That's what I thought.  It's the protruding horn  and the deep heel that would be the major issue for those cases, yeah?  You think the issue is more pronounced for something like a Jaguarita?

I had more problems with the ass-end of most offsets except for Mustangs.

If you think about it, it DOES kind of have that non-reverse Firebird vibe. Just... metally. When it comes to offsets for metal bands, I'm still partial to ESP/LTD for the Viper.

Telemasters from Indy Custom Guitars. They might be made in China but I think they're really good and moddable for the price. $200 lang, guise!

The guy who repairs my guitars, Eric Daw, is also a luthier.  He's got a line of customized electrics (with a business partner who does customized amps on his end) under the Fastback label.  He's got a Telemaster design, or as called in their lineup a T-Master.  Here's a link to their website and a photo of their T-Master.
