DAMMIT. I DIDNT KNOW THEY LOOKED THAT NICE. How's the feel?
It's a nice little banger, haha! OK, here's my .02 cents ; for $189, I wasn't really expecting much. Being the tinkerer that I am, I went straight under the hood. Pots are small, as per the usual for SE Asian-made guitars. Easily replaceable. Except the routing of the control cavity is small, large enough only for the pots that it came with. The lipstick neck pickup is interesting. Very warm tone. The bridge pickup is hotter that any of my tele bridge. Pretty interesting middle position.
Neck isn't bad. After filing the fret ends, setting to a comfortable action, and applying some moisturizing lemon oil on the fretboard, it actually played and felt nice.
The neck pocket routing is something to be desired for, though. Looks like mine was made by a monkey with a chisel, haha! Thank goodness for the 22nd fret overhang and the pickguard for hiding that abomination. Haha! I hope that it really is solid basswood, as they claimed, underneath that thick poly finish and not MDF.
But I'm pretty happy with it. It'll be a nice slide guitar. Just don't expect too much from a cheap guitar.
