Hi Im Gandy,

Currently Im waay overweight.. for my age, height dapat 71-72 kg lang ako...I gained a lot last year (kasi ang lapit lang ng office sa bahay and nag electric scooter lang ako papasok--compared sa previous years solid na BIKE ko lahat ng destinations ko)

..now Im at my heaviest Ive been..78kg..
been cutting rice and running and stairclimbing everyday as much as I can, integrated on my way home...so far, Ive got it down to 76 as of this morning after 2 weeks.. Konti pa! Kinda worried baka kasi medyo bumabag na metabolism dahil sa age... some shin pain din dahil sa pagtakbo..siguro dahil sa bigat..hopefully makaadjust once maglose ako ng konting weight..

Ive done this before..ballooning to 76kg a couple of years ago..but managed to slim down to my ideal weight...I also cut down on eating, and did some runing and stairclimbing regularly...

Im motivated because...I dont want to be the rocker on on stage with a big belly and large body... I believe rockers has to be sexy and appealing as much as possible on stage...hehehe...

well, cheers to more weight loss!


Tips:

1. Cut down on rice and junk food. and add a cardio- excercise regimen sa iyong daily routine...(if only edsa was pedestrian friendly..you can forget sitting over traffic and just run and climb your way home.).

2. Do it in small portions.. start kahit 10 minutes lang..ang trick is to do it religiously! you would be surprised..yung 10 minutes will turn into 30-1 hour sessions...chain reaction lahat... youll be more conscious of how much you eat..and youll add more exercises and body toning moves to your routine..as you go.. basta trick is...religiously na walang palya..

actually, ok lang naman kumain ng konting chocolates now and then...mga baconator burgers...kailangan lang next day, doblehin mo cardio mo..
to burn it all up... kaya lang naman sinasabi na bawal kumain ng mga fastfoods kasi usually mga western diets yung pinanggagalingang articles..
eh alam naman natin na araw araw yung pagconsume nila ng fast foods...

sana maging seryoso tong thread na to. game na game ako dito. i've been looking to shed some pounds. whew. i think i need a support froup to keep going.

support group tayo dito! hahaha..minsan talaga nakakatamad talaga..lalao na pag pagod ka na sa opis..pero talagang kailangang labanan..
totoo yung "no Pain no gain" na maxim...

ang target ko lang is to lose weight..I dont care sa pagbuff, muscular , abs stuff..gusto ko lang pumayat sa ideal weight ko..

yung tyan ko malaki din, Im pretty sure yun ang last at pinaka mahirap na paliitin..pero second on my list ko yun..

Goals ko is..

1. Get my ideal wight back
2. Paliitin tyan
3. (if possible magpa buff ng konti--pero di ko na to inaasam)

also keep in mind..if your heart is racing and pumping fast...it means youre burning calories and fat...

so..if your jogging..but your heart aint racing..chances are konti lang nasusunog na taba...

so..sprint a bit...jog then sprint..uli...wash, rinse , repeat...

i havent gone to the gym for 8 months. i also eat anything i like: fastfood, junkfood, restaurant food, basically everything you are not supposed to eat in huge quantities.

as a result i am 220 lbs or 100 kilos currently ... 10 lbs from now, i will be back to my weight back before i started working out.

i also am re-experiencing the pains of being fat... them being:

1.) not recognizing myself in the mirror or in the photos cause i dont remember looking that big
2.) breathing heavy or taking deep breaths while doing something as mundane as standing stil, or sleeping in certain positions
3.) limited clothes cause most of them don't fit. connected to that is - no interest in buying new clothes cause the ones i like don't fit
4.) knee and joint pains in the leg area.
5.) not very sociable or meeting old friends because you know they are gonna say something about your looks

i hope i could get back on track soon.

I always remeber my colleagues older brothers story...he was Fat..as in...what he did was he walked from work to home for like a year...and LO BEHOLD..whe I saw him..hes a freaking kalansay! as in ang payat niya!

Im not a fan of gym memberships..

I just run along the sidewalks and do stair climbing up my building and also pedestrian overpasses...integrate those things sa daily commute mo para di tamarin..

pinakamahirap talaga yung Labanan yung Laziness..the rest is easy actually... minsan need talag natin ng motivation... chicks magandang isipin..hahaha

pero after 2 weeks..madali nalang yan! kailangan lang masanay mind sa routine...na connected sa discipline..kasi you need to really do it every freaking day..

100kg

3-weeks break in: 1 kg

4th week:1 kg

5th week: 1kg

6th week: 2 kg

so on...kaya yan!

sabayan nyo nalang ng konting fruit or century egg..or whatever...eto kainin ninyo for dinner every night..tignan natin kung di ka mabawasan ng fats..

kung tamaan ng gutom...labanan ito ng paginom ng madaming tubig..

It's very simple: burn more calories than you intake, and you'll lose weight. Take in more calories than you burn, and you'll gain weight.

It doesn't matter where the calories are comming from. In otherwords, if you burn 2500 calories/day, and eat 1700 calories in chocolate a day, you'll have a net loss of 700 calories/day, and will lose about 6 lb/month.

you should not close your mind regarding gym memberships. once you get to a certain level of fitness, you would need more advanced workouts.

i dont know how big you are now bro, but doing things like walking and climbing stairs ... those are very easy, and is only recommended for total beginners for something like a month, to serve as a warm up. if you want to improve your fitness, you need advanced workouts and joining a good gym with a good instructor is key there as so you will know whether you are doing the right workout with the right form. youtube videos will never teach you the right form, especially if you are a beginner.

however, if your sole goal is to shed lbs ... nothing beats watching your food intake.

if you map out a % for it, stuff like stamina, endurance, speed and fitness is 90% exercise, 10% diet

for looks ... its sadly 90% diet and 10% exercise.

for overall health ... i still give the edge to diet as 75%, while exercise is only 25%

agreed..GYM memberships concept..if you want to push it to the next level..its surely a must..unless you can invest on all sorts of machines and weights at home..

I think, my level now is just shed some lbs..and get my tummy smaller..and thats it...kung dumating ako sa point na game pa ako magpabuff at magpump iron na..ok din..pero not a priority for now..

here are my random thoughts on losing weight:

1.) Nutritionists said you'll crave more if you are vitamin deficient. I was spending 20 pesos a day for vitamins which was really cheap compared to buying everyday chocolates, chichirias, sundaes, cokes, burgers and junkies

2.) Bigger muscles burn more calories (but i dont do gyms instead i jog 10km weekly but shifted to 5km of intense running and i'll add 2 more on my next runs - it has nothing to do with building muscles  :-D )

3.) Youll never lose if you dont lessen your diet

4.) Youlll never lose if you dont have a weighing scale next to your bathroom  :lol:

Im 5'8 at height and currently weighing 69-70kg and i've never since go down that weight. I was at 76-78 over the last six months.

Damn..same stats! Big plus on 3 & 4...haha...i still cant run that far in one go..tried but i ended up mostly walking....shorts sprints...walk then sprint again..lalo yung nagsisimula palang...ive lost 2kilos already!  6more to go! Plus the tummy

Speaking of gigs..i try to jump and move my body a lot..kahit sa rehearsals..medyo magalaw ako...hitting two birds in one stone..haha pangpapawis...

Sama ako dito! Seryoso to ah!

While I'm still a good 10 lbs lower than my heaviest (last year yun), I'm starting to feel the effects of having too much body fat. Easily exhausted, lethargic, and of course I think my body type/shape isn't the kind that looks good when putting on weight (lots of belly fat while appendages are slimmer, for a fat dude anyway; saggy moobs). At di ko na masuot yung Queen at Midnight Meetings shirts ko  :-(
