fans knowing the fab four's playful minds, tend to put meaning to every song they think were about drugs. think lucy in the sky with diamonds, many said it was about lsd when in fact it's about a painting of julian lennon about his classmate. john insisted that it's really about an innocent painting but when he wrote that song his mind was addled with heavy drugs. dahil sabog siya people dismissed it as a song about lsd.

I was reading the newest Rolling Mag of my cousin featuring Paul last Fri, I was surprised to know that on the height of their arguments John compared Paul to Engelbert Hamperdink.

Originally, parang Maharishi talaga ang title ng Sexie Sadie kaso para seguro di ma offend si Harrison pinalitan na lang.

astig pa pinas noon...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brian_Epstein

The Beatles toured the Philippines in July 1966, playing two shows at the Rizal Memorial Football Stadium in Manila.[88] Epstein unintentionally snubbed the nation's first lady, Imelda Marcos, when presented with an invitation to a breakfast party.[89] He had politely declined on behalf of the group, as it was their policy never to accept such official invitations.[90] The Beatles and their entourage were ejected from their hotel on the same day and were given a police escort to the airport, even though Epstein had publicly apologised for the misunderstanding in a televised statement, which was not seen or heard because of static.[88] The entourage boarded the plane for home, but Epstein and Beatles' assistant Mal Evans were ordered off, with both believing they would not be allowed back on the plane.[91] Epstein was forced to give the tax authorities £6,800 worth of Philippine peso notes earned from the Manila shows, and he also had to sign a tax bond verifying the exchange before being allowed back on the plane with Evans.[92]

actually sir fretboard, yan ay yung last na jam talaga nila. nirerecord nila yung mga tracks sa Let it Be album, pero dahil sa tensyon sa bawat member sa loob ng studio, parang sinugest yata ni john lennon na sa rooftop na lang nila ituloy ang jam. tinugtog nila dyan yung Dont let me down, One after 909, Dig a Pony. ang last concert talaga yata nila sa harap ng madaming audience ay sa Candlestick Park sa US noong 1966 yata.  :-D

a ok hehe, na confused kasi ako may article akong nabasa na THE ROOF TOP CONCERT '69 hehe

yung nakalagay dun final public performance unplanned nga yata. so technically hindi sya concert no? for the sake of captioning nalang siguro kaya tinawag na roof top concert.
try mo kayang kalabitin baka tumunog...

Best riffs of the Beatles? Hehe  :-D

I would have to go with Day Tripper on that one.
David Grohl: Why can't it always be this easy?
Paul McCartney: It is.

Doesn't have to be a guitar riff, right?
Eleanor Rigby (string quartet)
Let I Be (piano)
In My Life (harpsichord)
Come Together (bass)
Got to Get you into my life (brass)
Hey Jude coda (vocals)

Ok, Ok,...Guitar riffs
Birthday

Look here, what could have been the Beatles album in 1970 had they not broken up
http://somethingelsereviews.com/2014/06/04/more-perfect-playlists-the-next-beatles-album-mccartney-plastic-ono-band-all-things-must-pass-1970/

However, I think 1971 would have been stronger (chart placement in parenthesis)

Imagine (top 5)
Uncle Albert/ Admiral Halsey (#1, Grammy winner)
Oh My Love
Gimme Some Truth
Another Day (top 5)
It Don't Come Easy (top 5)
Backseat of My Car
Jealous Guy
Early 1970
Power to the People
Bangladesh

and 1974  -- they would make their 2nd "Sgt Peppers" - with "Band on The Run". But that's for a later post
