I bumped into Thelma Bowden aka "Joey" on Twitter.com (she is of the former Zach n Joey team on NU) and she's interested in helping out as well. :-)

Great!  When do we start?  I guess a meeting (face to face) is needed just to discuss how things go, a possible topic script, etc.  Joey can help indeed.  She used to do some script writing on Zach and Joey.  I can direct if needed.

Just tell me when to meet.

Well not just blues but all genres of course!
Otherwise we'd end up as a digital "Crossroads". :)

Op kors naman, Jim! Basta sali mo ako pag blues ang subject. Tomcat and I had similar but less high-tech plans eons ago. We even went as far as seeking out informal local blues aggrupations and pesonalities like the San Juan Blues Club, Bob Magoo, etc...  :-)

Some non-blues subjects that I look forward to hearing:
- jazz and local jazz artists
- issue of piracy (and also related stuff like tape-sharing, P2P)
- pro audio/home recording
- musical equipment sales industry  (importation, tax, customs, retailer/store practices, etc.)
- Life and Times of musician OFWs (on cruise ships, hotels, clubs abroad)
- "Where are they now" series (eg, oasgomez)   :-)  *joke*
- Pinoy Bossa Nova: When will it go away?  *another joke*

where do I submit my original songs?  Is this for the Pinas people only ? how about us Socal boys?

Phil - a lot of roundtable podcasts are now done with people reporting in from all over the world via Skype. That's the "virtual studio" scenario I described. You and anyone else out there from here to Dubai can actually participate. We can interview Perf from here as long as we got enough broadband. A Skype conference is clear enough so the other party sounds like he's in the same studio.

For some examples, go to iTunes and download Leo Laporte's tech podcasts like "TWIT". Leo is in Petaluma, CA but everyone else is connecting in from their respective homes and offices in the SF Bay Area or Silicon Valley, with one guy talking all the way from London.

By the way... we need a theme song. Hmmmm

ah.... it's like thise webiste I hang out..... they have recorded interviews.

check it out. .... really cool.

all genres eh?.... sounds interesting, thinking that some genres here in our country only are alive in the underground scene, not much of appreciation and attention for some genres like metal, and the likes... others say that music here in our country is biased, only focusing on certain types of music which makes other genres left out in the dust... i think this project can pave the way to opening up to some people here in our country other genres of music, not just alternative and pop music... its time to let others know and understand that there are other genres out there that needs to be appreciated and be heard... im hoping this project would push through, this would definitely give a push to the music industry... a tool for local musicians, a door of opportunity to be heard and be known...

The pilot episode of the PhilMusic Podcast is now online! Finally, the
website that talks all about sound debuts with its very own audio
show. Our maiden episode features a gear oriented interview with Jobet
"BAMF" Claudio of the Talk@PhilMusic forums, where KitC asks him about
his invention - The Scalarizer -guaranteed to make any guitar sound
better.

We then proceed to part 1 of our 2-part revealing interview with
Rivermaya, where Mark, Mike, and Japs do a tell-all about the
controversial departure of their lead singer and their plans to
soldier on with a new EP and an album in the works. Special thanks to
Francesca of Monster Radio RX 93.1 for helping us out with this one!
