Title: Need suggestion for PA System setup
Post by: maaku on December 10, 2014, 04:08:11 PM
Hello,

Newbie here, medyo problemado sa sound setup sa resto (nipa hut style). Playing acoustic most of the time, vocals, guitar, kahon. Limited budget ko for live music kaya no standby sound tech at mostly bagito na band, hindi masyado marunong mag-sound check, during performance makikita mo na nagpupula mixer/amp. Bale 2nd time ko na masunugan ng voice coil. First time ko nasunugan, someone suggested a DI box, so I bought 1, Behringer. So nangyari ulit, sabi kailangan ko na mag-upgrade pero yun nga limited budget so I need your inputs. May nakikita ako na mga portable PA pero di ko alam kung magwork para sa akin. So the question is

1. Parepair ko ba ang speakers and continue using the same setup

8 Channel Mixer
Amp (not really sure about the rating)
3 way speaker 500 watts TNT
Have 2 Lexus pero nasunog din

2. Or better to get a new one,  the budget should be below 50k

Pa-explain na din yung mga rating ng amp, like kung 1000watt rating kailangan ang speaker is lower watt? kailangan equal ang load so kung 2 speaker tig 500watts dapat?

Salamat at mabuhay.

Someone from another forum (US) suggested ZED-10FX + Bose L1. Available ba siya dito? Thanks

i suggest its better to use dynamics processor like a compressor/limiter.makakatulong po ito to limit the signal papasok ng power amp.use an equalizer too.the main purpose of equalizer is to cut excessive freq or noise to avoid toasting a vc.not to boost also to shape the sound! in speaker and power amp rating, for me its better sir na may plorga yng speaker mo sa power amp rating mo it means kng 1k watts ang rating ng speaker use 600 to 800 watts power para my 200 watts pa na gap before toasting a vc! hope dis help sir! have great day!

Great buhay guys!

I got a Boston Portable PA System 4010 10P, 150 watts bought here in PM. Can I, by any chance upgrade the speakers of this kind of Portable PA System? Or is it possible to make it at least achieve clarity and louder output for this kind of PA system? Kumbaga iupgrade man lang kahit 200watts?

Here are the photos of the actual unit:

@maaku

Simply lang yan problema mo boss.

Gamitin mo na lang ang 8 channel mixer mo ngayon at mag invest ka ng powered/active speakers 2way 12" or 15" kung acoustic set-up lang naman at kung nipa hut style lang ang venue.

Kailangan din ng microphone cable at xlr connectors para sa output ng audio mixer mo ay madidiretso na sa input ng powered/active speakers.

Try mo yun Behringer Eurolive B115D 1000 watts 15". Ang pares niyang nasa 32k lang. Plug and play ka na lang diyan. Panalo sa clarity at power. Subok na namin yan kahit rakrakan pa!

Hindi na practical ang hiwalay pa ang amp at passive speakers. Kaya madaming nasisiraan dahil sa ganun na set-up.  ^-^

If you're still looking, for PA speakers, I'd recommend Alto TS112A . They're a budget speaker but good quality and affordable.

I think there's a philmusic member who sells these for a good price.

Good luck with your business :)
