Sorry. I'm new here and I don't get the reason or rhyme behind such a thread when most of the answers can be bloody Googled! Psheesh!

the first goal of this thread when it was created was to avoid the creation of new AND redundant threads; i suppose it's the lesser of 2 evils. better to have 1 "questions here" thread than a couple pages worth of redundant threads.

and secondly, there ARE questions that tend to be too specific for Mr. Google to answer conveniently. after all, this thread was created to be of help to new members.

i cannot stress enough that before this thread was created, question threads created by new members were crucified with the "USE GOOGLE, YOU NOOB!" card.

i suppose this thread somehow keeps some of the peace around here.

hey, so lets say im a financially downed high school guitarist looking for replacement parts and all i can buy is generic electronic parts, (humbuckers, pots,)

are they any good?

i called on JB and they said they had a generic humbucker for only 3xx pesos.

how bout pots? sabi dun lang daw sa raon may generic nun?

bro tingnan mo yung mga generic parts sa Sta. Mesa. Basta hanapin mo lang yung mga made in Korea. Yung mga korean parts kasi na nandun parehas lang din sa binebenta ng guitarfetish.
