This thread is to acknowledge the legend which is none other than the great..
Steve Gadd
He has been a driving force for inspiration and education for uncountable numbers of aspiring drummers all over the world. He has opened a new window to the world of drumming that has led to numerous awards, achievements, and recognitions. His fresh approach towards the kit is simply one of a kind.
Thank you Dr. Steve Gadd!!!
Hopefully the legend can someday visit our islands.. :lol:

I love Steve Gadd too! Imagine the modern drumming world without him. He is an innovator. And I agree that he's said to be the most imitated drummer in the world. We can imitate him, but he can never be duplicated.
So, what are some of your favorite Gadd-isms? What are your favorite Steve Gadd licks, grooves and performances?

can't get enough of Steve Gadd... first time i saw him, i said to myself, who's this old man?...my curiousity grew, so i tried "Gadd-searching". from youtube, wikipedia, google, everything...i even got his old video, Up Close with Steve Gadd. at first it may be boring for you but as he discusses the styles that he use and how to apply it, it became more interesting. i watched it many times.
you can really see his passion in drumming whenever he plays, it's very visible, right?! He's an icon, hero,marvel to all drummers and musicians...he's a living legend because of the accomplishements he has done.
i just hope that he'd find time to visit us here, maybe someday. i'm sure i'll run into familiar faces once that happens.

Mali spelling ng apelyido dapat steve god tlga hehe or steve drumgod haha!
yung lagayan nila steve, dave at vinnie dun sa buddy rich memorial concert simply shows na pag magaling ka sa groove pati mga panglagay mo drums eh groovy pa rin. oo mas mabibilis at mahihirap yung pinagagawa nung dalawang mas batang drummer sa side nya pero masarap pa rin yung mga tirada ni tata steve dun na parang mapapasayaw ka pa rin hehe.
pero tao pa rin sa tata na nagkakamali pa rin paminsan minsan lol!!!
sa 1:46 mark hehe di nya nahuli yun ending cues haha! pano kasi nasarapan sya masyado.
