Repairing Laptop VideoCards by Baking?
« on: March 27, 2013, 01:13:49 PM »
So I have this HP DV which does not display anything or start whenever I turn it on.The light indicators still turn on but thats about it. I brought it to a repair shop in St Francis , the technician replaced the fan and cleaned the unit it worked for a few days and went dead again, I brought it back twice sometimes it work and then it dies back down. Cost me around 5k. Then a friend looked into it and told me that its the video card that's broken and he said that it needs to be BAKED or a heat gun needs to be used!! But its 50/50 that it will fix the laptop and it cost from 3500 - 5000. Has anyone here tried it or experienced having their laptop videocard repaired this way?
