Sayang sana nung christmas sale ka bumili. 30% off lahat ng Taylor.

Thanks, guys! Just bought the Taylor BT2 Mahogany top sa SM Southmall today. Love it! :-D

Question nga pala. (Sorry first time ko mag acoustic. Hehe.. :-P )

Thanks, sir!

Next strings change ko try ko yung Elixir 11-52. Hehe
. Sana ok lang at walang maging problema. Hehe..

( Sorry! Noob here pagdating sa acoustic guitar. :)

if papalitan mo yung gauge from the default, paset-up mo na din (or do it yourself)

madalas problema ng gitara pag nagpalit ng gauge (saka pag lipat from winter to summer), although nasa tono naman pag open string, some frets are off tune when pressed

probably won't bother the uninitiated pero pag maarte na yung tenga mo rinig mo talaga na medyo sharp yung ibang notes :D

stick to 12s , its a small bodied guitar , changing it to 11s will make it sound weak.

+1. I really dislike 11's, very noticeable yung tone change. :( sound over comfort ako pag sa acoustic guitar.

Hmmm... kaya ko lang gusto magpalit to lower gauge is dahil nga sa comfort pero try ko muna gamitin talaga itong 12s baka masanay din ako  :) Nasanay kasi sa electric at 9s eh... hahaha...

pwede mong i setup ang 12s na maging comfortable. simple setup like adjustment in action will do ..

Taylor BT2 owner here too. Mine was setup by Sir Arie and he recommended either 11s or silk & steel strings. Mahaba yung explanation niya pero it had something to do with bridge lift tendencies ng Taylor and small bodied guitar's bracing to maximize vibrations. So kahit nakakahinayang ilet go yung Elixirs, I switched to D'addario 11s.

My observation: I believe sobrang tigas lang talaga nung stock Elixir strings na nakalagay sa BT2 pag brand new even if you try to break them in. I had it for 4 months kaso walang improvement so pinasetup ko na sa Guitar Hospital. Di naman ganun kalaki difference sa tone IMO, I actually preferred the tone and feels when installed with 11s (D'Addario 85/15 Bronze). After the setup and string installation, my BT2 sounded fuller, less dull and a tad brighter. However, factor in the fact na sobrang on point ng intonation ni Sir Arie hehe.

Try experimenting with different brands na guage 12 first (not coated ones) if that doesn't work still, time to change it to 11s.

Well, yung cort earth mini is a very great guitar and bang for the buck na din. I think around 8k price range that sounds very good for its size.

Cort and Phoebus are at par, me thinks, with the phoebus being a tad better because of wood selection.

I think in this case, personal testing na ang kailangan to make a final decision. hahahaha

May nagpost ng video sa john frusciante FB group, using a Martin 0-15. :(

ibig sabihin, sa condenser mic or sa real ears, iba ang tunog nun. more often than not, a phone cam's video audio differs greatly than that of the actual source.
