way back in 1991 nakabili ako ng ganyang ganyan klaseng bassman for P7000. binili ko sa las pinas at inuwi ko sa bulacan, nag commute lang ako. you can imagine ang hirap ko sa pag byahe, sakay sa bus ng 4 beses at dalawang beses sa jeep. then 1994 nagkaroon ako ng rehersal studio (blizzard of ozz) at isa yan sa mga tube amps na pinagamit ko sa mga customers ng studio (lucky bastards!). then in 1996 i sold it to arie for a few thousand pesos. until now i regret selling that amp.. bakit? kasi hayop sa ganda at warm ang tunog ng amp na yan. i plugged in a vintage strat and what i got was a keith richards and black crowes tone! i plugged in my charvel and zoom driver, hayop sa punch at balls. by the way, bihira akong magkaproblema sa bassman 10 ko na yun dati, alagang mabuti ni mang raul quesada. bro, just an advice from a guy who used to collect vintage amps, go and buy that friggin amp bago ka maunahan ng iba. hindi mo pagsisihan yan. PEACE LOVE AND JIU-JITSU!

go for it bossing!!!
Hindi dapat nakakapagod mag-Philmusic.

Make sure d speakers are stock. If they are, dun pa lang bawi ka na.

Mahirap maghanap nyan dito.  U cn make a research about fender amps on their website.

I just went to the owner and gave him a downpayment of 5k. I'll be picking it up after Easter! There's some minimal buzzing, which I believe comes from the upper left speaker but I have yet to verify if that's the main cause. I can live with that considering that it's from 1971 - wear and tear WILL set in after such a long time, whether I like it or not.

I'll also be putting in new power tubes (2x6L6) so I can hear the amp properly. I'll post pics for you guys to see.

Hollering to PHIL! Could you help me out by giving some tips on how you cleaned your amp? I'm scared as hell because of the voltages and other nasty stuff that comes with tube amps. Thanks.

just remember to turn the thing off when you're cleaning it. don't got at it while the amp is still warm since there's still enough juice lingering in the amp to kill a horse, not to mention the fact that the tube filaments will still be glowing hot and may get damaged if you remove them.

at least a day. this will give the capacitors ample time to discharge normally. keep the amp unplugged so there's little chance for you to work on the amp whilst it's running. also remember to use safety gear like rubber gloves and shoes. don't work on the amp when it's raining coz the moisture in the air will make it risky. actually, I'm guessing you know all this already, coz you'd want to remember this when working on ANY amp, tube or solid state.

a day may not be enough.  these capacitors can store charges for up to several weeks.  there's a way to discharge the caps to ground manually but i would have to look for the procedure (i haven't done this myself).  i'll see if i can find it and post it here.

these are some things to keep in mind when tinkering with your amp:
1.  keep one of your hands in your pocket at all times.  this will prevent you from accidentally forming a full circuit (or is that closed circuit?).
2.  always remember that there are lethal voltages in an amp.  it can kill you if you're not careful.

when in doubt, just take your amp to an amp tech for a look see.  you never know, there might be parts that need replacing (due to age).
