“Yamaha classical guitars are known worldwide for their quality of materials and construction. Now Yamaha has applied its finest acoustic electric pre-amp, system 49 to a world-class concert guitar. The result is an instrument that will satisfy the most demanding classical, jazz or fingerstyle nylon string artist, and allow the player to achieve the finest acoustic electric sound when plugged into a sound system or recording console.”
“GCX31C is a model which belongs to the GCX series of acoustic-electric classical guitars. This is a concept several decades old and it i hugely popular. Yamaha even designated an entire section of the catalog to this type of guitars. CCX31C comes with a standard, single cutaway body with natural gloss finish. Back and side panels on this model are made of rosewood, while the top is made of spruce. Majority of the models are made with cedar tops, but Yamaha favors spruce tops on their nylon-stringers. Bridge section features a standard shaped bridge made of ebony. Electronics department of this model is equipped with an under-saddle piezo pickup and System49 preamp. Neck is made of mahogany and it is topped with an ebony fingerboard. 19 medium-sized frets, flat radius and 2.04" wide synthetic bone nut complete the top panel.”
