Some answers to your inquiry are in this thread:

Those are 3 different snare drums with very different personalities.  The Pearl Joey Jordison Signature snare drum is the archetypal power piccolo snare with a metal-shelled drum's sound and projection.  The Pearl Vinnie Paul Signature snare drum is a deep and throaty snare drum which fits nicely on heavily amplified rock or metal music.  The Gretsch Renown Maple is a versatile line of maple snare drums with exceptional professional sound and quality.

I've tried all three.  And these snare drums are all good stuff.  It's all up to us to choose which snare drum fits best for specific styles of music we'll be playing.

based on your experince sir dindin in using these 3 snares
yes maganda silang lahat pero...
ano ung pinaka nagustuhan nyo po sa tatlo?

In order of preference...

1. Gretsch Renown Maple
2. Joey Jordison SS
3. Vinnie Paul SS

But above those three, I have a Spaun Custom Snare Drum that I'm abusing right now.

this depends on your sound preference bro... if you want a bigger, more airy sound get the bigger drum, if you want a tighter sounding snare with more crack get the smaller one.
matututo kaya ako magdrums? kelan kaya iyon...

Thanks g0d5_g1ft! I'll be using it in our church with 100 members. 5.5 kasi gamit ko now. Malayo ba difference ng 6.5 sa 5?

I think noticable naman ang difference ng 5.5 sa 6.5 na snare... since you are agitating more air inside the 6.5 than the 5.5... the 6.5 will give you a deeper, larger sound...

better ask for those that have or used a bunch of snares here like peeves, sandy, dindin, black_panther, marvinq... they can better answer your question. I only have one snare and its the only size i've used ever... im noob sorry  :-)

Mga Sir ask ko lang because I'll be getting Pearl free floating maple snare ask ko lang which is better size 14x6.5 or 14x5? TIA po.

volume at tone lang difference nila, mas malakas at mas lower ang tone ng 6.5 syempre

but first, define what you mean by "better". napakasubjective kasi ng tanong mo hehehe at walang tama at maling sagot dahil walang criteria. have you personally tried them? if yes, you will be the only one who can answer your question.

pero wala ako magawa ngayon so kunyari ako ikaw at eto basehan ko sa pagpili:

first and foremost, ano gusto kong tunog? i will choose 14x5 kasi

- mas bagay yung tunog sa mga banda na pinapaluan ko yung 14x5
- mas madali ilagay sa stand para dun sa gusto kong position, yung ibang snare stand kasi mataas na so kung malalim pa yun snare, di ako comfortable
- mas malaki at mas mabigat ang 14x6.5 so mas mahirap dalin

tsaka pag bibilin mo lahat ng snares na magustuhan mo, dun mo mapipili yung "the one". kasi balang araw maririnig mo rin yung tunog na gusto mo sa utak mo sa isang snare. kaya bili lang ng bili. wag mo na pansinin tong last 2 paragraphs. take it with a grain of salt but it is partially true
