What is this rumble I am hearing that there was a complaint lodged aginst the songwriter (s?) of the song BOOM TARAT TARAT , saying that they do not own the melody of the song? It seems the melody of the chorus part (which happens to be the hook of the song) is not original.

Some old people nga claim they have danced to this melody during their field demo days in elementary.

Any news?

I can't understand why they are claiming it as an original song.

Tsaka may mas lalala pa ba sa Pinoy Ako? Na obviously ninakaw sa Chandeliers?

Actually, I am trying to verify if the Boy Scouts of the Philippines really did press charges, claiming rights to the melody of the song.

Oo nga naman, lalo na't malaking binayad dun sa kanta ng isang "senatoriable"...

This is embarrassing. To think na may follow up na si Bayani Agbayaning Taradying Potpot naman. Pathetic.

yes i heard this somewhere from tom n jerry or some looney toons cartoon my son was watching about a month ago. i did a double take and thought, "well, it figures". those cartoons looked vintage, really. maybe from the 60's or 70's. or earlier even.

hindi yan original at oo totoong boy scout song yan.. kinakanta namin yan noong UNANG PANAHON PA hehehe.. kakahiya mang aminin na oldies ako pero mas nakakahiya yung sabihin nilang ORIGINAL yan. well actually hindi naman yun boom tarat tarat eh.. actually the song goes " boom tarat tat tat".. mangongopya lang sila mali pa lyrics ..pathetic..

.. naiinis na ako.. why dont we spend our energy creating songs na pang worldwide distribution??? pang barangay mentality lang na kaya natin??? i hear songs na gawa sa ibang bansa na me "accent " pa nga pero nakakapasok sa market dito sa US.. just to imagine ok namang mag pronounce ng ingles mga pinoy... lets work together.. imagine kung makapasok tayo sa US market?? that will mean recognition sa pinoy as a REAL MUSICIAN, better equipments at $$$ sa economiya ng bansa.. hmm ot na ba? sorry..
