I prefer dreads, until I bought a travel acoustic for my son, but ended up using it myself. It is good for what it is--a guitar you can bring anywhere without taking up too much space.

I got a Cort Earth Mini because of Royc's recommendation. It was a good guitar for what I used it for, a travel guitar. It was a hassle to lug around a heavy dread kasi haha!

But I had to sold it cos nasisikipan ako sa string spacing. I got an Alvarez OM as a replacement. Which I sold din cos of issues unrelated to the thread.

Anyway, eto siya:

Calm Down

My Washburn Rover - very slim and lightweight. Has a very nice polyfoam case for travel.
So what's the Hartke Acoustic Attack pedal doing there? I am actually using the guitar from time to time for open mic sessions here in Singapore. This guitar was heavily modified. I did not install the mic pickup for the Rover but installed an undersaddle pickup instead. A strap pin was also installed at the heel portion. I'm also using electric guitar strings to remove the twanginess brought about by the small body. Together with the Hartke Acoustic Attack, the guitar sounds huge direct to PA /mixer or through an amp.

Hi mga sir and maam.

A new acoustic needs a proper setup.

First of all, check mo yung neck relief. Baka kasi kailangan ng truss rod adjustment. If ok naman at kung 1st three frets yung stiff, mataas yung nut pwede namang
i-shave . Kung halos buong fretboard stiff yung strings, malamang both bridge saddle and nut kailangan i-shave.

Sa acoustics by default mataas yung action. Factory setting kadalasan.

Alright sir. Eh sa gauge po? Masyado na bang makapal ang 12s? or I will go low hanggang 10s?
