Great! Thanks sa advice! :) Mas madali ba ma-tono and ec2 saka mas less overtone for toms? :-D

Yup! Get the newer Evans, the one with revolution 360 thingy, hehe,it's easier to tune. :)
Yup 2 plies doesn't have as much over tones, tuning wise same tension on all sides to control overtones

But I'm a remo guy hehe, old school pa din.hehe like punching the skin method pa din ako, hehe.

Yup,nasubukan ko Siya sa peavey na drums nagulat ako, hehe,I think it's an entry line at naghahanap at ng volume, gain, bass, mid, treble nobs wala, hehe.
From jokes aside, they sound decent coming from the stock skins, which has no solid tone, puro overtones, hehe, pero syempre isand paper mo na Kung di pantay bearing edges, dali lang naman yun e.

You would bring your drums on a gig?
Just invest on a pedal, snare, and cymbals. Then bring that to the gig.

AFAIK, Fernando uses basswood for the entry level models, and either birch or maple for the higher models.

good day po mga sir.

meron yung all silver na standard snare, around 2700+ sya, tapos meron yung parang manipis na blue or black na Fernando snares, less than 5k.

budget - 5K or below.

salamat mga sir for inputs.

I bought a piccolo dati na Fernando for gigging purposes, ayus naman, don't crank it up too high nga lang. :-D
If your patient, may mga napapadaan na mga 2nd hand pearl,Tama, mapex etc dito sa classifieds.
Ang rule just be patient in waiting. ^-^

I saw a Yamaha steel snare from classifieds,it's worth5k negotiable posted by Jonathan, check that out,my friend got a good sound from that snare before when I saw him at a gig. :-D

Hello Sir!

I'd just chime in on sir harugrugrug's advice.

It'd be better to get a second hand snare here in the classifieds. look at the pearl, gretsch or mapex snares.

The Fernando snares have some issues that might be difficult to deal with (i.e. easily bent hoops, lousy hardware). so, getting a secondhand snare made by reliable drum makers is your best choice.

Hope this helps!

Thank you sir harughug. follow up question ko lang po, kung bibili na ako ng snare na Fernando sa jb cubao, then magdecide ako na bumili ng remo batter, Oks ba yung remo weatherking coated ambassador? (based sa suggestions sa mga threads)

saka sir, being a new snare drum, aside sa batter na papaplitan sa Fernando snare, kelangan din ba palitan reso saka snare wires?

Salamat po ng marami sa tips.

Sir harugrugrug, sale sa jb cubao, fernando silver piccolo is 2560 lang. Nakalagay na head is remo white , nakalagay made in taiwan. Yung parang magaspang.
Advise nyo sir, stick with stock remo then ipatono na lang?

Or dagdag konti at bili coated amb? Or bili ako upgrade? Salamat po talaga. Will post the pic pag binili ko na
