hmm... im not being a rude here (so tabi tabi po...)

but i think it would be unfair to compare hayley to avril (so obvious na si hayley ang pinili ko) hehe...

IMO, hayley is far more better than avril. boses pa lang ulam na...

nothing against avril... actually, i have to admit na mei mga songs ni avril na gusto ko talaga.

paepal lang ha, siyempre hayley williams! medyo matagal na tong issue na to eh. sobrang fan kasi aku ng paramur, kaya pati blog nila talaga binabasa ko. nagsisimula pa lang yata sila kinompare na sila ni avril. nung una ko ngang narining yung paramore, sabi nung naginfluence sakin, "pakinggan mo to, parang si avril, pero mas magaling" (syempre naman) mas powerful yung boses ni hayley. eto kinopy paste ko yung link sa blog ng paramore about sa issue:

pero kasi ang hirap din, hayley will not be hayley if not for paramore.

kasi bagay sakanya ung mga kanta. okey ang songwriting nila. maganda ang pagkaPOP nila. hindi maiinlove ang mga tao kay hayley kung hindi maganda ang mga songs nila.

From what i've noticed (sensya na tamad ako magresearch if it's true) Avril's first band is really her band, pero syempre their name have to be appealing. Correct me if i'm wrong here kasi na-experience rin namin sa banda namin yang ganyan. A Producer wants my wife to be a solo act pero kami pa rin rhythm section nya. Packaged sya na ang Pangalan ng banda si her name. Pero i'm proud of my wife na mas gusto nya na pangalan na lang ng band namin kesa solo nya. Kaya eto andito pa rin kami. Hahaha....

i recently started listening to Avril's three albums: Let Go, Under My Skin, and the recent The Best Damn Thing.

all i can say is:
POP defines her music. there are some tracks like In My World and Too Much to Ask (from Let Go) that is more than good enough to listen to; as well as Keep Holding On (from The Best Damn Thing) which is as powerful as a socially important song can get.

in other words, she's the Britney Spears of Rock. LOL

on the other hand, Paramore leans more on the creative and technical side; still POP and mainstream, mind you, but the focus is not entirely on the vocalist, unlike the former. and probably as the result of their influences, they still incorporate heavy guitars and drums that no doubt labels them as ROCK.

you can't say who's generally better than the other because they're both different. however, you can compare them perhaps in a smaller scale and a specific criteria.

avril not equal to hayley therefore cannot be equated? haha... i found the multiple choices a bit weird. does "i hate posers" apply to both of them?

you're too defensive man, what's wrong with giving a few comments? even if you created this specific thread, it's in an online forum, and i'll presume you know the meaning behind the concept of forums, but for the benefit of those otherwise, it's ideally a community meant for the sharing of people's ideas.

and you can't expect people to just say only this or only that b/c we don't live in a monochrome world. there will always be something in between.

take a chill pill pare. i don't know where the hostility came from but if it continues it's bound to ruin this thread.

Nope i'm not mad totally, I'm great as a matter of fact, i'm just pissed off of those people who just post para kontrahin ang mga ibang tao. Mga talangka nga eh. Continously bashing the threads just for fun. I know it's their ideas, naasar na kasi ako sa mga comments na "they can't be compared, magkaiba sila ng genre and style" thing. Duh! Eh kung sino nga mas gusto nila sa 2 regardless of genre and style. Meron at merong mas higit sa gusto nilang 2. There can never be a deadlock with comparison.

I'm chilled, i'm relaxed, i'm thrilled. Hahaha. Tagal kasing walang results dito. Puro tabla. Mas ok pa naman yung comparison nila, tapos sasabihin nila personal choice nila. Not making a comparison and say na magkaiba ang mundo nila. Mas gusto ko nga yung ayaw nila sila 2 tapos may reason kesa sasabihin na gusto nila sila 2 pero tabla. Kaya kung napapansin niyo, wala ang choice na "I like them both" Kasi gusto ko makita difference nila. Yun lang po. Bow.
