Being a Blue Rats unofficial groupie (ouch why did my a*s suddenly ache there ? Lol) I went to their Handlebar gig last night .



Of course, Idol Yatpu was there with a spanking maple top Tele


But wait ! There's more ! What's that at his feet ? Taking the place of his beloved Proco Rat (for the set anyway...)In the middle is a...*gasp* DS-1 Bakemono !!!


And his text afterwards...it kicked his Dr. Swamp pedal in the butt .

tanong ko lang.. super curious na ako dito sa mga MOD na to since nuon pa.. how does this change the sound ba? para bang kung wah pedal ang i-mod for example eh magiging "Nyaah" yung "Waah??"  sorry pero im totally clueless about this.. hehehe

Wut ?? Me touch the insides of a Tube Zone ? Why I wouldn't dare !!!

Seriously, I'd rather not. Modding will degrade the value of the pedal and it's not a good idea for a 10k-ish pedal.  I'd like to stick to modding cheap commercial stuff. .

But if you insist...I will welcome the honor of desecrating an expensive pedal hehehe.

The Bakero HM100 is doin great ! I took her home, in love talaga ako sa kanya. You'll get to hear it at Perfjam II...certainly one of the pedals that I'll bring. I even fixed some of the bypass tonesuck. Madali lang pala...you learn something new every day !

And I got to install the new EMG-TC's on my Tele while I was at it.

Madami din. I'm about to proceed in the IC transplant procedure for the MT2. Successful na sa DS1.

Nawawala ang ngongo nya, sounds bigger, fuller and with a little customization (be there with me as I mod) we can perhaps nail exactly what you want.

For BF2, the mod will open up the sound, quiet the pedal and make the flanging sound deeper and more lush.

Here's my version of analogmans DS1 Pro mod. Although baligtad kami, my mod currently is only implementable on Taiwan-type DS-1's, while his is applicable only to Japan and early Taiwan-type DS1's. In time, after I put in more research on the pinning and other parameters for the Japan DS-1, I can then implement this on Japan DS1's. However, those things are really rare these days, so maybe it won't be worth it too much.

It involves, among other things, placing a daughterboard that carries a higher quality IC chip, my favorite high-impedance input IC which is gorgeously sensitive and does emulate the sound and player response of a tube amp. The daughterboard covered in masking tape is the one that carries the chip. You can also swap it out with other chips like OPA2164's or NE5532's depending on your taste.

Vox Clyde (suri ha di ko nakita) ? The Wah ? It's already a good pedal, but what do you want done to it ? It's already got the meow-meow mod built in, in fact it's the template for mods that are done on the Cry Baby's and what else.

But yeah...what you want done ? Modify sweep so it goes more to the highs ? Yun pwede yun
