a few reasons why i'll never hate them

- lyrics are poetic
- a definite mellowness vibes around their music
- coldplay is coldplay because they have an unmistakable style

sure the repetitive melodic riffs can get annoying sometimes but hey, i've never turned my back on them since Parachutes came out - i own all the albums...may puso talaga yung lyrics nila.

I totally agree. Back in college I hardly ever appreciated their music and like the rest of the people in this thread, I found them quite boring. Maybe it was my exuberant nature when I was still a student that made me think this way. Gusto ko yung music na mapapatalon at mapapaindak ako. But I guess musical maturity came with age and eventually I was able to appreciate their songs, and finally love them. Their music is simple, stripped down, melodic and very honest, and no, I don't even find Chris Martin hot.

I love how they are able to express this sentimental side of human nature despite the "gay" comments of other people. Just because they play sensitive music doesn't mean they're gay.

And if they are, so what?

Only real men are able to express what they really feel. Yung mga masyadong pa-macho, sila yung insecure.

+100. if you're really a true musician, you will not stuck with 1 genre. i admit noong younger years ko puro death metal lang ako, i hate hiphop, etc. pero nung nag banda na ako, i realize na kailangan mo i-appreciate yung all forms of music. now i listen to pop, rock, jazz, funk, etc. except sa andrew e. tunes :-D

yung melody and lyrics ng coldplay, i find it relaxing and helps me dealing problems especially alone. i prefer coldplay than any emo bands. :-)

Wait a minute, coldplay is not Emo. maybe they sound emotional or dramatic but they're not emo.
