I think he deserves the appreciation.. he is a good song writer.. and like it said, he started the then, next generation pinoy band

actually, most of their hit songs were not written by Ely, instead they happened to have a college professor who would go out with them to have a bottle or two. Then, that's how they would write their songs with the help of this drunken professor.

is that they started, like a next wave.. a second coming.. a next generation of the band era.. right?

I read the blog & it implies that the eraserheads started the whole band phenomenon in the country, & it has no mention of anything that says "second wave".

di ako masyadong nag aagree dun sa bamboo as the wind that brought about the third wave..

mag kakaron lang ng third wave kung namatay ang rock scene. after ng eheads andyan na kagad yung days ng wolfgang tapos naging slapshock/greyhoundz era tapos bumalik alternative.. then merong time na ang nag bibit nalang ata ng rock was parokya ni edgar.. (ata).

in a nutshell, thirdwave, if it even existed, was not started by bamboo.
pero astig sila.

Ely is a good song writer. Alam nya ang panglasa ng mga Pinoy at most of their songs are catchy to mass.
