Mikkey Dee of Motorhead and King Diamond is one of the best metal drummers of all time for me. I love his grace notes and footwork.

hello... for me.... these's guys are my hero when it comes to drumming....

Master Lars Ulrich <---- always have patterned my style on him through the years, though di sya ganun ka galing sa drum solos, yet i really love the stamina of the guy....

I like:
Joey Jordison (Slipknot)
Matt Sorum (GnR, Velvet Revolver) <--- nothing beats old school 90's

locally
Robert (Sky Church) <--- i've seen this kid play during a guest performance over a Battle of the Bands in Pandacan... i was there at the side of the stage just to watch him very close (i was supposed to be in front of the stage - judge ako nung Battle eh)

important points on drumming
« Reply #87 on: June 27, 2013, 09:00:12 AM »
mga ser ask ko lng kung ano ung mga muscles n kelangan i work out for metal drumming. bukod sa wrists at arms i know may kinalaman ang lower at upper body para sa balance at stamina. pati proper breathing pag pumapalo. maliit lng kasi ang build ko at gumagamit ako ng mejo mbigat n sticks pra buo ung tunog ng drums pero sa paa ndi gaanong dinig lalo n pag nasabayan n ng gitara at vocals. bka meron kaung ma share n strengthening exercise ng lower body bukod sa running. i know may mga drummers din ditong small build lng pero halimaw pa rin ang palo. thanks.

Try biking,,, setup the seat medium to high to get the Tibialis anterior muscle rigid and firm... This is good if you're using Heel down technique... IMO only 8-)

Any Ride Cymbal siguro sir na hindi heavy. Heavy Ride Cymbals tend to sound GONGY when crashed.
Mas prefer ko ang Medium at Medium Thin rides with a big bell for this :)
hahaha ako binibiyak ko muna yung wetpaks para makita kung may yellow thingy hahahaha

K's are usually Dark sounding, for loud band settings, usually you're looking at the Z customs or the A customs. but hey, kung gusto mo ang tunog and it works, why not? :D

How bout TRX's? What line is usually used for loud mixes? I know it should be my preference but i dont have the money to try them all  and the prices are no joke.
