who out there is planning to buy or already has one of these? just curious on how heavy the buzz is about these in the philippines... is there even a carrier that services these over there? i'm a huge ipod fan but it might take me a while to warm up to these, or at least until they lower their prices..

I would wait until the 3rd or 4th generation...1st generation always sucks.....plus $600 pa.

kaso kung iisipin niyo.. mejo nakakakilabot na wala syang buttons.. kasi kapag magloko na yung software na nagcocontrol nung pagiging touchscreen e d wala na.. ahahha.. tapos wala pa palang 3G.. so malamang sa 3rd or 4th generation pa lumabas.. tapos nde rin natatanggal battery.. so parang nde tyo makakadala nang spare battery.. ahehehe

i was finally able to play with one.. one of my friends have it and its really incredible.... its amazing how much different it is than all the other phones ive ever experienced... very fast.. even faster than my pc!! ui is very friendly... internet is exactly like pc internet, no joke... my friend says battery is pretty good.. with normal use, he said he charges it like every other day... the iphone really makes all the phones in the world look like pieces of crap... its like comparing a honda to a ferarri

Yung mga prices sa States, may kasamang 2 year AT&T line yun. After two years, you will have spent around $1900 all in all daw. Ngayon, kung prepaid dito sa Pinas malamang mga 40-50K yan since walang contract sa wireless provider.

But I agree, astig talaga yang touch screen.

The only thing that will prevent me from buying this when it hits our shores is the battery isn't user-replaceable. You will have to bring it to a qualified service center. Malamang magkakaroon ng third-party battery kits for consumers (just like for the ipods now) pero nakakatakot buksan yung casing.  :-o

my friend has one. kuha niya sa states $600 8gb. sobrang flashy tlga ng iphone. kung sa design, panalo talaga. as in mapapa-WOW ka kung pano mag take ng pictures or pano mag zoom, yung pagbrowse sa itunes etc. maganda tlga. pero yung fuzz about touchscreen, hindi naman sya ganun ka hirap. pero walang bluetooth. ahhaha.

like someone said first gen always sucks... it'll get better like the ipod thats why i'm gonna wait it out... i heard 3g and bluetooth are on the works... there also supposed to be making a stripped down cheaper version.. i hate the fact that so far its only exclusive to att/cingular

I played with one sa apple store. it bulky. i don't like it. yung lang turn off na ko. I don't care about the price as long as it delivers. tulad nga ng sabi ni Phil, its 1st gen. marami pang quirks na lalabas dyan.

me balak ang apple na gawing iphone ang next gen. ipod nano. then sell it for cheaper price of 300-400. less features nga lang.
