Hey guys, sobrang tagal ko nang hindi gumagawa ng PC kaya medyo outdated na kaalaman ko. 

Anyway, bumigay yung IDE harddisk ko recently at ang hirap nang humanap ng high capacity na IDE HDD.  Medyo luma na motherboard ko kaya wala pang built-in SATA controller. 

Gusto ko sanang bumili ng PCI SATA expansion card para makabitan ng mas malaking drive.  Problema lang, paano kung hindi magboot from the SATA drive?  Baka kasi hindi makita ng BIOS yung card at yung drive.  Ayoko naman gumastos para matesting lang tapos wala rin.  Tulong!

bili ka nalang ng dalawang HDD. isang high capacity sata drive for all your miscellaneous content. and isang maliit na 20gb ide drive para sa OS mo.
im guessing mas mura na siguro ngayon yung ide drive since luma na..

that way, you can boot using the ide drive to install the drivers for the pci sata controller. then after installing the drivers for the sata controller, you can now plug in your sata hdd to your pc.
