i'm considering getting fender's new n3 vintage noiseless pickups for my squier california tele. it's either that or DiMarzio's. any other suggestions?

Those pickups are about 60 years old, I doubt you can get something exactly like them(to my knowledge). Closest I know of are those Fender '51 nocaster pickups(repro) or the Seymour Duncan 52's. But I'm pretty sure there are a lot more out there, boutique pickups can probably give you a more accurate sounding "50's" tele.

Btw, about those n3 vintage noiseless pickups, THEY ROCK! Had one in my MIM fender tele before. They have very good response and clarity, and at the same time you don't lose that tele twang.

Thanks, the MIJ squier tele was my 2nd tele and unfortunately I had to let her go back then. Same with my HW1, once she finds her new home I know for sure I will miss her too..
