Title: Where to buy Tour Case Accessories / Parts? DIY Tourcase Pics Inside..

Im from Laguna and wala ako alam na mabibilihan dito ng tourcase parts because im planning to build cases for my equiptments..

angled aluminum bars - aluminum power, t.alonzo st.binondo,manila
screw,nuts,wheel casters - to suy, arranque,binondo,manila
twist lock & handles - ray gin or vertex , raon,quiapo,manila
yung formica board ang di ko alam particular store,pero malapit lang yun sa  -to suy- sa may arranque yung mga construction supplies dun na malapit.
pero they say kapag amp rack,try mo check yung mga pro-case brands sa stage point,raon
same lang daw halos ang magagastos kapag mag DIY ka compare sa bili ka na lang ng buo na.

nice,i may not use formica..meron kasi dito samin mura magtanggap ng fiber glass coating..

IMHO  Mas ok kung bibili na lng ng fabricated na cases kung sakto ito para sa pag gagamitan mo sir, kasi mas mura pa price nya kesa sa gagawa ka, malaki din magagastos mo kahit ikaw mismo ang gagawa, say for example, gagawa ako ng 4ru na case for my amp, materials pa lang nito sir would cost around 3,500+ pesos wala pa jan yung labor mo eh buti kung matatapos mo agad within a day, pero kung bibili ka ng RMB case from nictron nasa 3,500 lang ang price nito and at the same time magamit mo na agad pag ito, may pasunod pa na screws and silica gel, advisable lang gumawa ng tour case kung medyo alanganin ang size ng equipt mo at walang mabibili na sukat para dito..

Thanks..codeone.I may try that next time..bale,may karpintero kasi ako na speciality is wood works/sah..furnitures etc.i only direct him kung paano gagawin namin na tourcases for my equiptments..as of now naka tapos na siya gumawa ng 3 boxes for my marshall 2x12 and 1x12's.. made of 3/4 ordinary plywood and cover it with poly tap with hardener,then will paint a lacquer type finish..
cost:
-materials-
3pcs 3/4 ordinary plywood @840php each
2liter poly tap (masilya) @ 180php each
2 bottles lacquer tinner @25 each
8pcs sanding paper 120php
stickwell 1kg 120php
1/2 kilo finishing nails 45

-Paint-
2liter lacquer paint black glossy @165php/liter
4bottle lacquer tinner @25 each
1bottle lacquer flo 25php

mabigat na masyado if 3/4 plywood gagamitin sir,, saka u need to trim it para swak yung tongue and groove na illagay para sa lid nya.. mejo makakamura ka ng kunti but the pride of building one is priceless,, lalo na if they ask where u bought them and appreciate it and u will be happily replying na " ako lang gumawa nyan" .. downside is achy fingers from accidental pukpok and hard squeezing of the rivet tool :-D

eto na yung diy tourcase ko mga sir..medyo hindi ganun ka-professional ang work pero i think it will serve its purpose well to me..maraming salamat sa karpintero ko at napakahirap talaga mag-rivet..hehe.

congrats sir! maganda. at syempre masarap ang feeling na finally safe na ang gears mo. magkano pala ang 12 feet ng aluminum siding? bakit pala laging nilalagay sa upper part ang "ball" corners na may flat? mas logical para sa akin na sa lower part siya ilalagay para hindi na babaliktarin pa yong box pag papatungan mo ng guitar amp sa itaas. at stackable pa rin naman siya. pero, lahat ng nakita ko na flight cases, katulad sayo nga ang pagkagawa, nasa upper part ang may flat area na ball corners. meron bang standard way of doing this? hehehe

If you put foam beware that it absorbs moisture and your metal parts will rust, i removed the foam from my followspot box for that reason.
Anyway if your box has the exact size there should be no need for foam...............

Why will metal rust if moisture would be absorbed?  Water in the air will be absorbed so I don't think metal parts will rust.

But moving parts which would need moisture would dry up.

i believe it's the oxygen in the air that corrodes (oxidizes) the metal parts and not moisture in the air / H2O per se. when metal parts get wet, the dissolved air in the water (which of course contain oxygen) reacts with the metal forming metal oxides (rust, aluminum oxide in case of aluminum). corrosion happens in both dry and wet conditions.  :-)

sir yun sa aluminum power na angle bars local lang daw? mas maganda ba yun imported na binebenta ng vertek at nictron?

saan yun ray gin? may numbers kayo?

My mga contact number po ba kayo ng mga supplier or store ng ready made tour case/rack case sa raon or in other place where to buy?

Or san po ba ako pwedeng makabili nitong rack case for my amplifiers and processor?
