Building a HACKINTOSH, 2013
« on: June 05, 2013, 12:03:20 AM »
http://tonymacx86.blogspot.com/search/label/CustoMac <-- THIS

I just wonder... Is there any reasonable advantage of customizing a dual boot PC with Mac OS (Mountain Lion being the latest)  and Windows 7?  If you're not a gamer, and a power application type of person, are Hackintosh and Customacs more stable than Windows 7?   Say Protools... you got the Windows and Mac OS installers... will it work better on Hackintosh than on Win 7?

:) less post, less mistake!

i've had a couple of hackintosh builds since 10.4 til 10.5 ata. ang naging problema ko lang non eh pag dual boot ko windows saka osx napansin ko ang dalas masira ng video cards ko (think i burnt 3). back then kasi nasa infancy stage pa lang kasi ang hackintosh and most of the drivers we used were modified. ngayon siguro wala ng problema kasi most of the hardwares used in newer hack builds are natively supported kasi yun na rin mismo gamit ng apple sa current machines nila. hay, ayoko ng magpakahirap, pag may budget bibili na lang ako ng mac mini hehehe.

Before i used to rely solely on orig Mac but when i first discovered hackintosh (around 2004-2005 i think) i instantly saw the potential. Then when iAtkos (an easier way to install OSX in PC) it became more user friendly so i started to become a SOLID hackintosh user for my desktop since iAtkos releases a Snow Leopard DVD (eto na naabutan ko hehehe). Never nako bumili ng desktop na apple nun, kasi stable naman yung hackintosh ko, cheaper, better hardware and upgradable. up to now na nagsetup ako lateley ng i7 na Ivy Bridge naka Hackintosh(Mountain Lion) parin ako. walang sinok sa Logic Pro (using kontakt, symphobia, wave, antares, etc.) even with Final Cut X, and Photoshop swabeng swabe.

I even setup Joshua Desiderio's(Freestyle) recording rig before and ganun din sabi nya "walang sinok". kaya for me, it desktop setup i'll always go for HACKINTOSH. ;)

Please see the first post, beginner's guide na yun.

Around 2005/6 I dabbled into this just for fun. After playing around, went back to Linux on the spare machine. Admittedly, I don't have a practical use. And well, we used to have OSX on iBook so if there are OSX-only application I want to try out, I can try it on the laptop.

Pics naman ng naka open yung case, show us the goodies! I'm definitely gonna build a mini-itx light gaming rig this year with osx on another drive for music production.
