i'm into metal/glam. pwede ba mix ng SD hotrails, Evo Neck and bridge? kung SD distortion mayhem set ano naman lalagay ko na mid pup? salamat.

depends on you're gonna use the mid pup for. but duncan's cool rails is a very versatile rails-type single coil-sized humbucker.

you can't go wrong with a distortion set for metal and glam.

oh yeah...i like duncans.

p.s. i have duncan performers - korean duncan distortion clone - on my epi superstrat and i love it.

SD Distortion Mayhem set yung nakasalpak ngayon sa Flying V ko. grabe sa gain pero i'm not too crazy about the SD Distortion at the neck position. mas clear pa rin for soloing ang SD Jazz humbucker as your neck pickup. sa mid, depende sa trip mong output for mid e. kung high-output, salpakan mo ng Lil' Screaming Demon or Hot Rails Jr. (tama ba?) pero kung gusto mong mas versatile yung guitar mo, lagyan mo ng DiMarzio HS-3 single-coil. hindi ganun ka-high gain yun, perfect for swabe lines

thanks for the input. hot rodded set na lang ang kukunin ko kasi sd jazz ung neck nya tpos jb ung bridge. ang alam ko ung jb model dati nakakabit kay friedman nung nasa megadeth pa sya. ok na cguro un. mid pup na lang cguro ang problem ko.

Im into metal music din. Gamit ko Di Marzio X2N sa bridge and stock infiniti sa Ibanez RG450 and RGT42DXFX ko. Ayus yung Di Marzio X2N sa metal.. pero depende sa trip mo din.

dimarzios and seymours are both good... cant go wrong with either...

check the eq response and output of the pickups according to the tonecharts of their respective brands.

personally, for Dimarzios, i'd go for the Air Zone/Tone Zone + Air Norton combo to cover just about any genre. Evos and Breeds aren't bad either.

it also helps to try to find out the tonality of the whatever wood the Gio's body is made of (it's most likely agathis). Most of these pickups were designed with specific tones and guitars in mind.
