how can you deal with the people insulting your pedalboard???
« on: August 09, 2009, 09:54:42 AM »
hey guys hingin ko lang po opinion nyo hehe

some one is insulting my set up.

saying that it is dry hehe how can i deal with him?

this is my set up

ibanez wd7 - boss sd2 - boss ph3- boss pn2- boss rv3

HE IS STARTING TO COMPARE AGAIN HEHEHE

mas maganda ba tone pag 2 multi (zoom g2 and a korg) ang nakalagay sa rig consecutively hehe

he is the same person who says that stompboxes are use lang sa panahon ni kopong kopong hehe

just asking your opinion

di naman ako kumikibo dahil alam ko naman which is having the better tone

ask ko lang opinion nyo baka ako naman ang nagkakamali thanks

comments are very much welcome

yah i know.  but who ever told you such has his mind (and ears) fixed on something else.  though to be honest with you all i have right now is an old gnx multi.  but like i said in the other thread, i am in the process of rebuilding my board.  para mabutinting ulit ang electric guitar

may nagsasabi kasi na ang stompbox daw ay di na gamit sa real world.

Whoever told you this clearly does not have the slightest clue of what he is talking about. There has never been a larger pool of boutique builders and commercial brands because of the demand for good stomps.

Stompboxes are still used by the greatest players. Just search youtube for backstage or rig demos and you will see that effects are still out there in the real world.

Why do you think the pedalboard thread up there in the stickies has reached to 500+ pages? No one is names Kopong there. (I think )

digital multis + analogs = not good

also, in my opinion 70% of your tone comes from the amp
hanggang ngayon hindi ko parin alam ang tunog ng ipis

stomps for me!

i never owned a digital effects processor. and never will haha!

mas masarap kasi yung nakaka-build ka ng sarili mong set of effects, ang maganda pa sa stomps, natitimpla sila, so you can configure your tone easier.

and yeah, a pedal board with a nice set of stomps has more "angas" than an expensive DEP.

sorry I disagree,

nagkaroon na ako ng setup ng 3od's, chorus, delay, tuner   (with some variations sa dirt pedal)
and current set is 1multi, tuner, od, dist, delay, chorus

and mas gusto ko yung sound ko with that multi and my churchmates also agree with me.
God Bless!
