I'm just wandering what software is for you the best for making EDM music? :)
-
All DAW's are the best, it's just how you use it. Master the software and you are good to go. Walang katapusan na debate yan sa kahit saang forum o website. Some electronic musicians even use two DAW's.
That's the same question I asked when I started to dabble in music production. Just learn one then if you think it's not for you then try another. All DAW's have trial versions so go!

I have this DAW called Fl Studio, did you somehow come across with it? and personally ano yung ginagamit mong software? :)
-
Same here, like rixx... I use FL Studio...
But for future purposes, I suggest use Ableton live...
You wont regret it, I promise you that.
-
yep, I'm trying to cope up with Ableton hahahaha for now I'm focusing on FL.
-
Buhay pa ba itong thread na ito? :-D

FL STUDIO + ABLETON LIVE.
though im not a fan of the 2 DAW, most of the EDM People use these 2 in conjunction.
-
I use also Fl Studio
Check my music ...
But Fl Studio has not very good synths, some times I put the same note with 2 synths to create better sound but Native instruments is great !!
You can add some vsts of Native Instruments to your platform as Fl Studio !!
here is my music. All my tunes I did on FL STUDIO

good luck

Actually, FL Studio has good synths. Not very good as in Live, but still there. Though, I love FL Studio's effects. I even use it in Live
-
Any DAW is fine. just take the time to learn it inside and out. Don't let people dictate if your DAW is "pro" or not since a lot of people gave FL users a hard time before. I started with FL but I use Reason for production and Ableton for live sets. I'd still use FL today too for old times sake if there was one for Mac na direct port.

are there any linux users here? i would recommend qTractor and Ardour 3.

Ardour saka ReNoise yung gamit ko sa Linux. Yun lang yung familiar ako sa GUI kahit anong port pa yan.
BTT: I made a complete switch to Live for whatever I'm doing. FL Studio 12.1 is still buggy. I'm waiting for a more... stable release. Maganda yung GUI, though. Wala akong complaints dun. But, so far, nasa Live yung kailangan ko.
Also, I just realized na genre-specific itong thread na ito. But, basically, I honestly think every DAW is great for whatever genre you want to make. I know some non-EDM musicians use FL Studio for their songs (even using the native plug-ins to great effect).
