Lets talk about Jackson Guitars. I bought a Jackson DK2 in perfect pitch last new year's eve as a present for myself, but haven't played with it since I brought it home. I like the way bridge pickup sounded and can't wait to try it again.

here are the specs:

*Body:  Alder with Flame Maple Veneer on Transparent Colors
*Neck:    Bolt-On Rock Maple with Scarf Joint Head Stock
*Neck Dimensions: 1st Fret: .735”, 12th Fret: .810”
*Tuning Machines: Sealed Die-Cast Tuners
*Fingerboard    Rosewood with Compound 14” to 16” Radius
*No. of Frets: 24 Jumbo Frets
*Bridge Pickup:   Seymour Duncan® JB™ TB4 Humbucking Pickup
*Middle Pickup:    Seymour Duncan® STK-1 Single-Coil
*Neck Pickup:  Seymour Duncan® STK-1 Single-Coil
*Controls: Master Volume, Master Tone,
*Bridge: Floyd Rose® Licensed Jackson® Low Profile JT580 LP Double Locking 2-Point Tremolo

Pickup Switching:

Position 1. Bridge Pickup
Position 2. Bridge and Middle Pickup
Position 3. Middle Pickup
Position 4. Middle and Neck Sustainiac® Driver/Pickup
Position 5. Neck Sustainiac® Driver/Pickup

*Hardware: Black

I haven't taken any picture of my brand new axe but I'll definitely post one soon.

Any comments, reviews on Jackson guitars in general are very much welcome on this thread  :-D

i just bought a MIJ Jackson DX10D-BK 2 weeks ago. galing ng craftsmanship. and the tone, it came with duncan designed HB103N/B buckers. Im not really an expert when it comes to tone but these stock pups are performing well to my standards. When i got the guitar, medyo tilted ang trem nya so i had to adjust the springs at the back. that explains why medyo mataas ang action nya nung nasa shop pa sya.

specs from jackson site:

Body  Alder with Flame Maple Veneer on Transparent Colors
Neck  Bolt-On Rock Maple with Scarf Joint Head Stock
Neck Dimensions  1st Fret: .745”, 12th Fret: .820”
Tuning Machines  Sealed Die-Cast Tuners
Fingerboard  Rosewood with Compound 14” to 16” Radius
No. of Frets  24 Jumbo Frets
Bridge Pickup  Duncan Designed® HB-103B Humbucking Pickup
Middle Pickup  N/A
Neck Pickup  Duncan Designed® HB-103N Humbucking Pickup
Controls  Master Volume,
Master Tone,
Bridge  Floyd Rose® Licensed Jackson® Low Profile JT580 LP Double Locking 2-Point Tremolo
Hardware  Chrome
Strings  NPS, Gauges:
.009, .011, .016, .024, .032, .042
Scale Length  25.5” (648mm)
Width at Nut  1-11/16” (43mm)
Unique Features  Jackson 6-In-Line Pointed Headstock,
Compound (14” to 16”) Fingerboard Radius,
MOTO Shark Fin Position Inlays

Funny thing is ive been eyeing a Ibanez rg350ex for the longest time, ilang weeks ako basa ng basa ng reviews sa net. when i had the money, tinamad ako bumili ng ibanez kasi walang nagbebenta ng ganyang gitara d2,(i live in cebu). so parang buying blind ako nung binili ko itong jackson dx10d as i usually read reviews sa net before i buy something expensive. it turned out ganda pala ng mga reviews nito.

this is from their site:

Will try to post some of my own pics later...

Plans for this guitar? im planning to replace the stock pups with DiMarzio Air Norton/Tone Zone combo and prolly do  a center coil split switching. Yun lang

Grover Jackson King V. I've been waiting for Yupangco to order the Rhoads model for a long time na & I have the budget already but unfortunately their recent shipment are mainly Dinky's. When I saw this in the buy and sell section of another forum, I immediately bought this. Still needs major work but otherwise, a really good buy. :)

I tested it on PP makati and felt na mas sulit ito compared to PRS SE because of the price..

MIJ na yung Jackson with SD pups... though medyo hindi na ko sanay sa neck niya cause I've been using Ibanez for quite sometime now kaya medyo natatabaan ako. :)

Peace!

Got an MIJ DK2 last Christmas for church use. Rather cheap for an MIJ guitar loaded with SD pups, considering that the cheapest Ibby Prestige is usually in the 40-50k range. Very solid guitar, the SDs giving a wide array of sounds from round and warm to bright and angry. The in-between positions are very useable, too, giving a rounder and mellower sound for songs that require compressed-chorused intros. The look may scream metal, but this guitar is definitely fit for a variety of musical styles.

I have a Jackson 87 U.S. Soloist (neck thru) SL2H (double humbucker), but it's still with the Luthier, Jun Castro, because I had it set up. he said he's having difficulty with the truss rod adj bec. its diff to adjust a neck thru guitar. Ill post pics once i get it home. Haha, and I bought it really cheap compared to its $ 3.4 K list price!

Tamang tama nadaan ako sa PP alimall nung Dec 31 la naman akong balak bumili  pero pinatry nila saken ung DK2 and ikinabit pa nila sa MD-2, which is good customer service by the way!  After an hour of playing, nagamay ko rin ung guitar and MIJ pa xa so binili ko na tutal nagiisa na lang xa nun. Black sana gusto ko kasi mas mura ng 1k kaso la na silang stock. But no worries, I love my amber sunburst dinky!

i have a 10-year-old korean made jackson ps-2, still going strong til now hehehe. even the floyd copy is surprisingly doing well after 10 years of use and occasional abuse. i replaced the bridge pickup with a dimarzio evolution and the neck with a no-name single coil sized humbucker. i have to bring it to a luthier soon though for reconditioning and set up/wiring stuff. great axe!

guys... I got a chance to test some of the Jackson guitars in yupangco main dx10d and ds dinky. Physically I got interested with ds dinky but when I tested them both I preferred dx10d... but its just for me... i was disappointed with the ds dinky, I wondered why because they both have the d/d pick up and the ds dinky even has alder wood? May be its just me or something else….
