Dudes.

Lets try something different for our JAM EB's in October !

I propose a Royal Rumble type JAM EB !!! See what it means na ?

Walang set na band. Just individual musicians. Tapos we segregate the night into four sections (up for suggestion).  One hour per section. Progressions (or set songs) to be discussed, either on-site or dito na.

1. Blues
2. Jazz
3. Metal Jam
4. Classic rock Jam

Tapos draw lots kung sino ang una. After 5-10 minutes (depende sa turnout), hubad gitara (or switch amp setups) at ipasa na sa susunod na gitarista. Same with the bahista. And keys kung me magdadala.  Yung drummer lang ang me problema, he can't be replaced in the middle of the tune. :D

Pwede din one night for every genre. Kayo, let's see how this forms.

Dudes, wag muna natin pag-usapan sino kasali at kung anong instrumento...that's the easy part.

Eto yung mga pag-usapan natin :

1. Oks ba yung concept na 4 genres in 1 night ? Or 1 genre per night ? Or anywhere in between ? What genres would you like to see in there ?

2. What progressions or songs will be open for jam ?

3. What are the mechanics for switching players ?

4. How long is a single progression or song ?

Me ideas na ko...pero gusto ko din marinig yung sa inyo.

Ayaw ko din ng masyadong maraming rules, pero kelangan me konti tayong structure di ba ? kahit konti ? :D

Me ideas na ko...pero gusto ko din marinig yung sa inyo.

Tam, iba pa to. Tuloy ang Sept. 18.

Jaz, ala ako alam masyado sa Jazz, so kaw na mag-forward ng Jazz progression. Eh kung ako lang tatanunging nyo, sa Blues, I-IV-V in E (ahehehe ang korni ano ? ).  So siguro yun na for Blues para simple lang. Ano ang para sa Jazz ? :D

Classic Rock, ideas ko ay Hendrix (in tribute sa lugar), Cream-Clapton, Beck, Chuck Berry 60's style,Deep Purple, Led Zep, Surf style (ventures), Elvis, Queen (ooops, sorry can't help it haheheh). Let's see where that goes, pero maganda yung mga kanta na mahahaba ang improv portions. Pag-pilian na lang to.

Metal...naku mga metalheads kayo na mag-forward ng shred pieces nyo. How you want it ? Isang enter sandman tapos sa gitna, labu-labo na ? :D

Okay...my idea is each progression or song is 10-15 minutes each. Each player 5 minutes each (depends on how many) 2 guitarists, 1 bassist, 1 drummer and kung me darating 1 keys. Me mod na magta-timer tapos sesenyasan yung bababa. Yung bababa will turn over the guitar to the next player (so what, we should have a "common" guitar in there ? ) Hindi sabay ang pagbaba ng gitarista. Preferably isa o dalawang pedal lang per guitarist, isang Tube screamer saka isang Disto pedal. Bassist, ala nang effects. Kung konti lang ang bahista na darating, mag-senyasan na lang sila kung gusto na ng ka-relyebo.

Sad to say, the drummer can only be replaced at the end of of each tune or jam.

Okay, parang medyo okay na ng konti to. laman na lang, songs and progressions na lang ! Syempre, final rules will depend on our actual contingencies when we get to the site e.g. how's the attendance, what time we started etc.

pano kaya kung style survivor? i-vote out yung gusto i-vote out ng audience or other members? it may be because the guy sucks and is ruining the jam... or he's too good and therefore depressing ("he's a threat!", ika nga sa survivior)... pero bawal mga alliance ha!  :lol:

still tho, one guy can't stay for more than, say, 2 songs straight. he can be voted back in pag nakaikot na sa lahat.

ang dapat lagyan ng time limit is the songs being jammed on, not the no. of choruses/progressions and solos. maybe 10 mins per song is ok na. obviously, yung solo spots dapat ikot sa lahat.  may 2 choruses per spot para may konting build up at hindi bitin.

how about awarding also before closing of the said event? most versatile player, shredder of the night, showmanship award? not only for guitarist but also for other musicians who attended. hehe! compliment baga... tapos may challenger sa next eb. just a suggestion...  :D

Kaya lang if it's made a contest...ahahehehe...survivor nga mangyayari..threat threat !

Eto lang si Jazhombie, manginig ka dito pag nagpatugtog to e. It will make lesser guitarists like myself feel small nyahahahahehe. But that's just me. Kayo ! If you think it will make things more fun, let's go for it !

One thing's for sure. We'll need a whiteboard to write down the chord progressions !

youve been watching too much reality TV sir Delta haha.

how about titles of songs na lang... assign players for each song plus the time limit for the song siempre...this way, pati bassist, drummer and singer umiikot.
panget naman kung panay progression lang.

kung gusto nyo mala-rockstar na lang, hehe. mag-list tayo ng songs dito sa thread na pwedeng tugtugin, tapos per song, magpa-line up na lang ng mga tao, gets?

example:

1. [song] (drums: ---, guitar: ---, vox: ---, bass: ---)
2.
3.
4.

tapos yun parang sign-up per song. tapos sipra sipra na lang tayo mga zires. ayos ba? para instead na bands yung naka-lineup, this time, songs naman. tapos medyo organized na royal rumble ang labas since magja-jamming jamming iba ibang tao. ayos ba?
