1. There's already a Les Paul Club thread here: http://talk.philmusic.com/board/index.php/topic,31227.0.html
2. There are a ton of different finishes available for a Les Paul (well, for ANY guitar for that matter). Imagine kung lahat ng tao gumawa ng separate thread for each finish.

i.e.

THE LES PAUL WINE RED THREAD
THE LES PAUL ALPINE WHITE THREAD
THE LES PAUL SUNBURST THREAD
THE LES PAUL NATURAL THREAD

Tapos syempre maiinggit yung mga ibang guitar owner, gagawa rin sila ng sarili nila. Mapupuno GC ng mga iba-ibang kulay nyan. Talo pa box ng Crayola.

On the other hand, it would also have been nice if someone actually told this to the threadstarter from the beginning, wouldn't it? Hindi yung ungguyan agad ang padali.

well i don't think it's about the number of posts but may topic na kasi na ganito eh dun sa les paul thread kaya ganito ang replies ng ating fellow forumites.

A forumer with 1k+ post would have gone through the same situation/scenario at the beginning of his/her PM life and after enduring all that would have thought twice before posting a new topic.

We are all newbies in some point in time.

oo nga. when i was a newbie i kept on making threads which was easy to answer with a little research but now after almost 2 months as a PM member i learned a lot so i don't make nonsense threads anymore.
