There are also other pages in Guitar Central, not just the first one.

Stickied threads are stickied for a reason.

It's almost like online hazing.

A forumer with 1k+ post would have gone through the same situation/scenario at the beginning of his/her PM life and after enduring all that would have thought twice before posting a new topic.  :|

We are all newbies in some point in time.  :-)
Ngayon siguro yan ang kaso, thanks to a bunch of people, most of which came in within the last 2-3 years. Pero hindi ganito nung newbie ako dito (2004-2005). Nung medyo tumagal na ako (2006-2007), hindi ko naman natatandaan na ganyan kami ng mga kasabayan ko unless sobrang kulit talaga nung member.

I don't understand why some people (some of which haven't been around too long themselves) think it's better to make fun of newer members. Magkamali lang ng konti ayan na. It's almost like people are waiting for it. I can understand it happening once in a while... but when it's this often, it's just ridiculous. Maybe it's because of the way that is original guitar matters more than local thread was handled. I don't know. It doesn't make it right, though.

If someone creates a redundant thread or breaks certain rules, either ignore it or tell the starter outright. Most of the new members learn from that and won't repeat the mistake. Kung matigas talaga ang ulo, that's when he becomes fair game.

Yes, we were all newbies at some point. But I personally would not want to be part of this frat boy mentality.

+1. i have never experienced anything where i've gotten responses like these when i was a newbie. i do admit nung newbie pa lang ako i posted redundant threads or threads where it was easy to answer if you just do a little research and napagalitan din ako dahil dun but i don't mind. if i posted redundant threads pinagsabihan naman ako na meron nang ganyang thread in a friendly tone. i learned from my mistakes that's why if a newbie does the same sinasabihan ko naman.

Does post count and length of stay really matter?

Just my two cents.
