In Nondestructive Record mode, you can track layer upon layer, but only the topmost (first) track will take preference on playback, until you trim it to clear the way for the 2nd layer, and so on. This is how PT assures audio playback of a track. In order to hear the the 2nd layer, for example, you will have to use the Trimmer tool to clear a part of the 1st layer, only then will the 2nd layer take precedence. Same goes for hearing the other recorded layers, you have to "clear a way" for them to be heard.

You can use the Trim Region command to remove parts of the region before and after the selection, leaving only the selected region. (The selection tool looks like an I-beam while the Trimmer looks like a bracket.

recording  pan and fader automation pano ho po ba?

AFAIK, you should be able to draw in automation curves, unfortunately, I have no knowledge of ver.7.3 of PT. Maybe PT users can jump in and help. It helps if you have a controller surface of some kind.

as always salamat po kuya kit! :-D

Walang anuman.

first of all, bakit ka nagtitipid sa tracks?

hindi nadedelete yung prior recording pag nag-take ka ulit. check mo yung audio regions list sa right ng Edit window.

alam mo na ba yung playlists? one more way to record several times on one track without deleting the other takes.

basa ka lang ng manual dude. ;)

Gerry, i'm not familiar with PT V.7, but does it still allot voices like in the older versions? You can have several tracks all assigned to the same voice, but only the topmost track takes precedence for that voice, doesn't it? In order to layer several tracks together, won't that require a destructive edit/bounce, assuming you already used up all alloted voices?

voice allocation on PT 7 is enforced via limits on active tracks. PT LE has a 32 track limit but there are lots of creative ways around that, and is often encountered only during mixdown.

As long the user doesn't record in Destructive Mode, all the takes are preserved and a final version can be comped from the different takes while still working with only one track.

sa fader and pan automation ala kasi sa manual.. basic recording lang yung laman ng maliit nilang guide... yung medyo advance recording manual bibili ka na kasi eh :-D

Pwedeng pwede. I trim mo lang using the TRIMMER tool. ;)

Ang maririnig mo lang yung top-stacked region (usually yung last take mo). Kung gusto mo marinig sabay sabay, i-drag mo sa ibang tracks yung other regions/takes mo.
